anybody who rips on guy is a moron.  great guy and great for the game. anybody who thinks 1 million dollars is anything to guy is a moron.  if u know anything about declining marginal utility then you would recognize this.  also if u just watch the high stakes episode where he gets allin vs benyamine and then basically hands him $350k in equity because he feels bad it would be obvious.

i dont think there is any doubt that he is a good guy and good for the game. this post was just letting people know the name that he plays under, as it was not yet mentioned on this site.

I think it's safe to assume Guy doesn't play poker for the money.

If Guy is a billionaire, can you explain to me in a mathematical sense how 1M is not pocket change to him?

The reason that it's pocket change to him is that he can lose it and still live an extremely
opulent lifestyle.  It was obviously a slight exaggeration but he can lose it without worrying about anything.

He did place 4th in the 2007 WPT Championship ($25K buy-in, 639 entrants) for almost $700,000 so he can't be that bad right??  Yeah I know, sample size, lucksack, jamie gold, lol donkaments, etc. etc. but you gotta give him some credit.

On a sidenote, I find it funny that he played a satalite to win his seat into that tournament.

Guy is better at cash games than over 90% of the people that post on this site.  It just so happens he loves the challenge of playing the best in the world.  No need to publicly bash him especially when u have no definitive proof that this elmariachimacho account is his.

guy was on HSP for a while, he actually wasnt all that bad. he is a little aggro, and will see a cheap flop with ATC, but he has good reads and is a bully because he doesnt care about the money.

i saw him, literally, give benyamine $400k back one time. they got it all in on the turn with guy holding a set against benyamines flush draw (both players started the hand with $500k, going into the turn they both had 100K in the pot before benyamine pushed all in and guy snapped called)...benyamine was SICKKKK, and guy was like "you know what dave, i know 400k is a lot more to you than me so lets just play for whatever was in the pot before the turn." benyamine instantly agreed, and guys hand held.

You really butchered that one, didn't you? it was all in on the flop for starters, benyamine's nut flush draw vs liberte's Kings up. There was no turn or river dealt, because benyamine accepted the deal to let guy rake in the current pot minus his all in reraise in return for seeing no further cards.

this could very well be possible but what does it matter Guy is uber successful in what he does and that's 1000x the money making potential as poker so if he wants to play poker w/ the best than by all means let the man be
