Going to Florida next months to visit relatives. Anyone recommend a good poker room other than the Hard Rock in Tampa? I'll be staying near Silver Springs for a bit and then down to Treasure Island. tks

We have 3 local tracks in the Tampa Bay area..
Derby Lane in St. Pete, The Silks poker room in Oldsmar, and Tampa Greyhound.
Id say the best poker room is the hard rock, but if you dont want to play there definately go to the Silks.

Just got back from the Rock's new Saturday event.
10 AM - $85+15, 1st $5000 GTD
There were 350+ in it today.

If you are staying near Silver Springs, Ocala Jai Alai and Poker room is just up the road.

treasure island is sooo nice... my boy has a 4 story beach house out there... derby lane > silks > hard rock ... hard rock is small stacks/low buy in/high rake/horrible play .. silks is somewhat new and not enough ppl play there for any tourneys to be worth a damn... all cash games in FL $100 max which is soo fkn retarded... derby lane would be my pick

i like derby lane over hard rock tampa, and ya derby just got a brand new poker room, its pretty nice, ill be playin in Derbys $200 on the 31st

Ya man I live in Ocala which is basically Silver Springs. Ocala poker is about 20 minutes away. I honestly think that Hardrock is the best place to play in Tampa, but the other rooms are solid too.

I used to live in Tampa I agree with this, definitely derby

The games are soft here in Florida. I just came back from the $550 Naples Fort Myers Dog track tornament (cashed , yea). They are having a $330 buy in next month. All poker rooms are good. Tampa, Sarasota, Immokalee, Miami, and the dog and horse tracks, you can't go wrong. The only problem is that for cash games you can only buy in for $100 so if you play 2/5 or 5/10 people tend to gamble it up to get a stack. The 1/2 is actually a great game it plays like a 1 cent 2 cent game on stars

Can any of you give me good directions to the Ocala poker room? The website says it's in Redddick or Orange Lake. I tried mapquesting the address they gave, but it won't show up in Mapquest. I'll be coming from the Ocala area and it looks like just a straight shot up 301?
