So...I have been contacted by a bunch of friends and by a ton of people on several web forums in the last week regarding the nionio thing at UB. I want to thank everyone all for your comments and your passion on the topic.
First, I want to let you know why I didn’t respond initially. I am not conducting the investigation so didn’t really feel it was my place to comment. My role at UB is limited to revamping the tournament schedule and re-energizing the UB brand, a brand I am very emotionally invested in. Although several people have suggested otherwise, I do not have a direct line of contact with the senior management at UB on a day to day basis nor do they write my posts for me. I do all that myself. I do not have any direct information from management day in day out as to what is going on with the investigation into alleged cheating on the UB site.
I can say that before agreeing to take on a larger role at UB, I needed a high level of comfort with the way the investigation was being conducted. That it was being conducted in an upright and forthright manner that was thoughtful and thorough. I definitely sought those assurances from the management team at UB was thoroughly investigating this issue and working in a way to come to a quick resolution the issue of alleged cheating. After some super frank discussions, during which I have to say I was not kind and, in fact, rather blunt about my feelings on the issue, I came away satisfied with both the intent of the management team to deal honestly with the allegations, as well as with the integrity of the management team itself. That is coming from someone who was as skeptical as could be. As skeptical as you all might feel, trust me, I was more skeptical than that going into meeting this new team. But I have to say they are seriously guys who “get it.” Let’s all remember this management team inherited this investigation and I am satisfied with how they are approaching it. I have no reason to believe that management is not pursuing the investigation fully and completely.
That being said, I want to see the results of this investigation and UB’s final report as quickly as possible, and as quickly and badly as all of you do. I know that the management team is eager to make its findings public within the month, and I am hopeful that all the details will be released very soon, I have been told perhaps within two to three weeks. I fully expect that management will be true to its word and that we will see a full and accurate report on these serious allegations.
Until then, I will continue to promote the UB brand because it is a brand I believe in and love and am deeply emotionally invested in. I sincerely want thank you all for your comments on the schedule and I hope you will keep them coming. This is a group effort. Dialog is the only thing that will make all this better and better and give you the most kick ass schedule on the net! (At least that is my goal!).

She really didn't have a choice but to respond, her credibility was going downhill fast. This statement has the intended effect of "buying more time" while they complete their investigation. Although it has been said that AP/UB have the same owners, I have no way of knowing if this is true. However I think all agree that the AP scandal and the resulting investigation/outcome was a kind of weak. Lets just hope that this is not a repeat. If so I well then GG UB.

you're a joke Annie. Be honest, this has nothing to do with pressure from any of the forums, if you cared two shits what anyone here thought you would have responded last week and said at the very least "I will look into this and report back" You didn't do that, you blatantly ignored posts in both threads you made as well as ones that were created and directed towards you. If you want to pretend like you did the right thing at least be honest and say that someone higher up finally fed you lines to post here. Don't pretend it has anything to do with anythin else because last week you dealt wit this like a child pluggin her ears.

I am very pleased with all of the recent changes at UB. It would be great to receive regular updates on this issue leading up to the press statement and would hopefully squash all of the P5 members who spam the forums with hate posts. Rube

I don't believe you. My first response after being "as skeptical as could be" would not be to promote the site without some type of closure or atleast progress in the cheating scandal investigation. Instead, you simply ignore any mention of cheating scandal which is hurting the whole industry right now and begin advising people to "get the free money while its still there".
The real reason for this post is that someone finally realized how stupid it looked ignoring all the comments about cheating at UB while trying to promote a new schedule at the same time.
I would never put my name behind a site with proven cheaters until that matter was resolved completely. I guess we just differ in that regard.

This is completely off topic. But around a week ago you came on here asking if you should change the 11pm 5 dollar turbo rebuy to just a regular rebuy. Most people said they wanted it to be just a regular rebuy. half the people that said to keep it a turbo dont even have accounts on UB anyway. I was positive it would eventually be changed but it has yet too happen. Is there any plan on changing it or just keeping it as a turbo anyway? Honestly, if it wasnt a turbo I would play it all the time. The added time would also give more alternates a chance to get in which could help with the overlay problem.

it was a non turbo last night Annie made a post about it a few days ago. She is alternating non and turbo to see what people are responding too best

its now on page 2 but this is the thread where I broke down the numbers turbo vs non turbo I played both the turbo and non turbo and while I like the ability to play poker in the non turbo the turbo does fly by. Last night my AA got cracked by a one outed KK in hour 3. it lasted nearly 6 hours in all

I am not going to respond too much to these kinds of post but I will say this...I was quiet on the issue because I am not conducting the investigation. I have a specific job to do and am trying to do it to the best of my ability. I love this brand and I would not have gotten involved to the level I have if I were not satisfied with the way the investigation is being conducted. I am really please with the change in UB. The new management is awesome. They have tremendouse integrity. They inherited the investigation and have been doing a great job with the burden of that, IMO. Take that for what you will.

I do appreciate all of the effort being put in to make the UB experience more favorable. One thing I would like to see changed is a filter so that I am better able to navigate the tournaments I am searching for, sattelites only, regulars, guarantees, etc.

UB is the worst site ever, I'm amazed at all the idiots that still play there. How can you trust them when both of their sites have been found to be cheating. Their software blows, takes 2 weeks to get a response from support ect ect... Boycott UB/AP

This is such a joke, you would be crazo to play UB/AP whatever....I'm barely comfortable on stars... but really online poker right now in the U.S. is shakey...ultimately..we have no recourse
