It doesnt even out though. Essentially the winning players win a little less.... and the losing players win a little more(errr lose a little slower). Which in theory just causes them to play "x" amount more tourneys before they go bust.... So Stars, over a long period, make a helluva lot more in rake from the losing players. Its smart that they did this, as losing players make up such a larger percentage than the winning players do. It sucks, but makes sense from a business standpoint. And honestly, theres still alot of money to be made, are the winning players really going to boycott or do anything about it? Thats a big no, Stars knows this, as do most of you guys.

Cliffnotes- Have to keep the fish happy... as the winning players can bitch all they want but arent going anywhere.

380 people in a 100 freeze and under 8k for first? 50r is like 8k for first? Simply awful and very greedy by stars if it is due to have more rake circulating quicker.

Is WCOOP going to have this new awful payout? I thought point of mtts was play for first.

I dont play mtts much anymore, but changing it back to the old payout structure would be a nice start to getting me to consider playing them again on stars.

Play at tilt is great if you don't mind playing against your own money in the long run.

3/4ths of poker players have never heard  of pfives or 2p2....so i am pretty sure Pokerstars has an easy decision here..

please the 75+ percent of losing players or please the 25- percent of winning/breakeven players....

the payout structure does suck...they should scale back the payouts and increase the payouts for top finishers period. who the hell wants to play for hours and only get a fe buy ins back? change that pronto!

I agree. Everyday FTP is getting closer and closer to getting all my business. FTP's tournament schedule makes stars look like UB.

to put this all on bryan is about as stupid as the payout structure itself.  Bryan usually responds here fairly quickly and answers the questions honestly and promptly.  I think he does his job pretty well actually. . .

that being said just wanted to bump this more than anything. 

seriously, cashing in a tourney w/out getting ur buy in back is horrid.

who said i'm putting it all on him?  he is top man on the totem pole isn't he?  he deserves a chunk of this heat.
