This is the first entry
in the CardRunners.com blog that will be posted regularly on
PocketFives.com. This article was written by Jsup. "Rebuy
tournaments are my favorite types of tournaments to play. I am not
much of a gambler away from poker; I rarely play table games like craps
or blackjack and I never bet on sports. My tournament style, and
overall poker style for that matter is more of a tight aggressive
style, but during rebuy tournaments I use a different strategy that is
fun to play and has given me a great deal of success in the past." Jsup 'Rebuy Strategy" P5s Strategy Archives ----------------- Email from Full Tilt Poker 'Tips from the Pros' Clonie Gowon on rebuy strategy. Sent-April 10, 2006

adding another twist...... One can listen to a video I did over a year ago on my site where I speak these exact words about rebuy tourneys. SO, as I read the Clonie email, my mouth dropped, now I read Jsup wrote it here once too. So, it was a copy of a copy of a copy apparently. :-)

I know basic copyright laws but I think a legal case in this issue will
be a very tough one to prove because if FTP copied it from someone who
copied it from someone else's blog who copied it from an article. You
don't really have legal action against FTP.
I can't imagine a company as big as FTP would use copyrighted material.
Just my two cents

Does this remind anyone else of College when you wake up with a monster hangover, realize that you have to submit an essay on rebuy tourneys in 2 hours... so you google "rebuy" and "poker", pick 3 articles, copy and paste 1 paragraph from all 3 articles and voila...

jsup owns creative control of the article
nsxt i hope that was a sarcastic post

This is original jsup material. The person at fault didnt take his sentences and restructure them, he/she copied them word for word. I'll keep everyone updated.
btw, jsup's article on p5s is the second item that shows up on yahoo when you search for rebuy tournament strategy.

Um seriously, Shaniac Jr does not even understand : It's not like this is a groundbreaking commentary on rebuy strategy: YO BITCH EVER HEARD OF PARAPHRASING!?!?!
Shaniac Jr is not one to play craps or blackjack, but he will happily ghost-write (original) Tips From the Pros for a small fee.

Well I appreciate the kind words, I hope I enjoy law school as well. I
work for a good law firm and we have a copyright specialist here. he's
just not in the office today otherwise I would ask him.
However, I dont recall ever giving out legal advice. I just said I'm not quite sure and someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
EDIT: Although if you consider what I said below about copying it from a non-copywritten webpage then I apologize.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any of my advice taken seriously

Does FTP even have rebuys? What is the point of sending out an
article on rebuys to FTP customers if FTP doesn't even offer them?

If this is true, then this is bad PR for Full Tilt. And it's not like P5's is an obscure site either, people know about this site and it's articles. This could wind up being pretty ugly. Good luck guys.

If I was Jsup, i'd just settle out of court... maybe $250k cash and a $250k rakefree FTP account. Fair enough?

Can't you just picture jsup in court on the witness stand.
Lawyer: "Please state your real and online poker names for the record" jsup: "Josh Supsak and TY4DABJ"

When i read the email from FTP i was saying to myself "I think i
already saw this one" and i figured they just ran out of tips and
recycled an old one. That's just crazy. Now none of the
tips from the pro's hold any weight in my mind.

And I was eating up Layne Flack's advice of checking the river with a monster
