I was recently at Winstar, and was playing some 2/5 NLHE when this hand came up. Tell me what you think of the hand. Stack sizes: me: $1350 regular: over 2k
UTG +1, a solid regular who walked away with a few grand each night I was there, open limps for 5 bucks. It is folded around to me, and I look down to see pocket kings. First thing I think is wtf is this guy doing limping UTG +1. I decide to pop it to only 15 bucks, which I immediately regret. Terrible raise. Anyways, BB is a calling station, and calls my raise. Regular thinks about it for five seconds, says 'well...' and calls.
Flop is q-9-2 rainbow. I lead out for 30 bucks, fishy calling station folds, and regular raises me to 70. I quickly call. Turn is another 9. I really don't put him on a 9 at this point. I check, he bets 120 and I quickly call again. River is a harmless seven. No flush possibilities on the board. I check the river and the regular bets 350. I think about two seconds and call. He turns over 2-2 for a boat.
I really want some insight into this hand because it has been bugging me for weeks now. Please let me know what you think was in his range here on the river.
I already know I played it horrendously preflop. My question is about the postflop action.
