Micro Team Comp. Final Scores

First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you who played and helped make this contest a success.  This was the biggest contest I've ever run in the 4+ years I've been on pocketfives, and it shattered just about every record in any of the micro competitions I've run.  At first I was skeptical about running this contest across 2 sites, because up until now, all of my contests have been exclusive to Poker Stars.  But the overwhelming requests to include FTP in one of my contests was enough to convince me to spread my wings.  It took a little longer than I thought to convert the FTP points to TLB points, but in the end it's probably the best scoring system for micro competitions.  Maybe in the future, pocketfives PLB system will cater to micro players a little more, and make my job just about obsolete.

63 players in all signed up for a week of micro hell and waged war against each other in a knock-down-drag-out battle for micro supremacy.  49 different players made a record 113 final tables, including 16 wins.  Luckyjj had the biggest single score of the competition, winning a $3 No Limit tourney on Poker Stars for a cool $2350.  That win earned him a record shattering 1069 TLB points.

The MVP of the contest goes to Micro Mayhem regular chrispy2005, who had a record 10 final table appearances including 3 wins.  He scored over 3000 points by himself, which would have been enough to win the first team contest I ran over a year ago (old contest scores).  Other notable scores include Team Floppypocketsangwiches 14 final table appearances.  Of their top 20 scores that counted, a record 13 were final tables, which is almost expected from the former Micro Team Competition champs.  You made a hell of a choice when you had to replace Sicktight311.  Also want to give props to dukefan, who cashed more times than anyone in the contest, including 15 scores that were all triple digit TLB points.

In the end, after trading the lead back and forth for the first half of the week, the team of luckyjj, dukefan, and djohns04 emerged as the huge front runner after putting up some sick numbers over the weekend, and ending with a record breaking 5933 points that may never be broken.  Congrats to dukefan, luckyjj, and djohns04 for winning the Micro MTT Team Competition!

Final Scores:

5933.96 Team Luckydukefanjohns
4663.33 Team Chief

887.07 Team Flash

I will PM each of the winners so they can tell me which site they would like their payout.

63 players (21 teams) x $15 = $945 in the pot.

1st place team = $472.50 ($157.50 each)
2nd place team = $236.25 ($78.75 each)
3rd place team = $141.75 ($47.25 each)
4th place team = $94.50  ($31.50 each)

Huge thanks to everyone who threw me a tip individually.  I will put it to good use and grind sit n gos for some extra Christmas money.   And to those of you who bought a piece of me in next Sunday's Million tourney.  Hopefully I can run as well as some of you did, and get lucky for 7 hours and make us all some serious cash.

Some extremely sick scores you guys put up.  Hopefully those of you who were lucky enough to build yourself a nice bankroll will take a step up and get out of micro hell.  I see some big things in your poker future. Next team contest will be late January or early Feb.  Next Micro Mayhem will be soon.

I want to hear how much each of you are up or down from this week.  Brag till it hurts.

Thanks to Mr Blonde for running this, and grats to the winners.

I don't really have much to brag about, up like 800ish, put in prolly 100hrs, 80 of them break even poker. Pretty disappointed overall with my results.  I was aiming for 8fts with 3 wins.

Please remember to ship blonde a little something. A lot of work goes into this, and he does a hell of a job.

Congrats to the winners, a bit disappointed in my own results but even more in my 2 teammates who disappeared into thin air after 2 days maybe they had their reasons who knows.
