Final table bubble and one guy sitting at about 2 big blinds at the other table. Rdcrsn hasn't been 3 betting much since he hasnt really had the chips to do so. A few hands prior to this he chipped up nicely. Whats your play and why?

interested what others have to say about this hand.
pretty sure i snap get it in why is he trying to make his hand look stronger? and not inducing a 4bet with effectively 25bb surely he can/should shove really wide here

highly doubt i'm folding. this is 5handed FT bubble of NHG and you're on the button, no? Also, is rdcrsn really opening up the lobby, looking for a short stack, then playing heaps differently b/c of this? idk, only ask cus i personally never open the lobby to look for things like this.

I figured that since he is a very competent reg, that he obviously realizes there is an ultra shorty on the other table and would be able to take advantage of that. And that he would 3bet small looking for a 4bet shove with his great hands and that his range may be wider due to the bubble situation. Maybe I leveled myself.
Sounds solid to me... I dunno but I'm not sure I like the idea of raise/folding our entire range but like AQ/99+ on the button to a good reg. Maybe he is actually that nitty? Ionno.

This is really close. I think we are doing pretty good vs his range and its for sure +cev to call but may be -$ev with somebody have 2 big blinds left.

Call and its not even close. Only thing that might make it close is icm, but i doubt its -$ev. But i think icm in mtts is fairly flawed anyway since it doesnt factor in a lot of stuff such as flexibility and all the extra power a big stack gives to a good player, but thats a different discussion. But anyway, u have his range crushed, so call.
By folding, ur basically saying u think rdcrsn is awful.

this hand is all about how rdcrsn perceives the OP. if u are random to him he has a tight range if u are an aggro reg or spew monkey he is shoving wider. HOW DOES HE PERCEIVE YOU OP?
I think it is the opposite of this because rdcrsn is more likely to put pressure on a random with a marginal hand, than he is against a reg. A reg knows what an incredibly great re-steal spot this is because of the guy with 2 bb's, so the reg isn't opening light in this case and rdcrsn knows that. I think it is very clear that this is a +cEV call (unless like Gag says rdcrsn is a terrible, which is my limited experience with him is very far from the case), the only question is whether it is +$EV, without running the numbers my gut says that it is +$EV.

This is what honestly stumped me during the actual hand as I assume most regulars just see me as a random. My image at the time was fairly solid I assume as he and I only played a handful together throughout the tourney up to this point. I honestly expect him (or any HS reg) to put more pressure on a random then he would a reg he plays every day. Especially given the bubble situation.
