So i just busted out of another MTT following the strategy of a TAG that i have seen posted all over the net. I was curious after going busto on this one if all the Online Strategy's are just a big conspiracy to get players to play the same and makes us more easily pegged. I mean I read over and over again to play tight in a a beginning of a large MTT that there just is not a reason to risk your chips at the beginning and and then slowly open your game,.... if you can... but if you get down to 10bb or less to look for a decent hand and push. I have tried this over and over again with little success... Sometimes this strategy allows me to get a cash and after playing for 4 hours i get to get my 10$ back!. I would rather bust out of a Tourny in the first 10 minutes than play for 4 hours and bust out with the same result. I am sick of not having chips! Can anyone lead me to a link in which the article focus's on being a damn chip leader for once. Instead of sitting back and hoping to double up when your BB get under 10? -=- Sincerely a Frustrated player.

Variance is at an all time high...with all these broke beotches around it's tough to constantly win an mtt filled with 3,000 donks, all vying to win on their last 5 bucks....u have 2000 sittin in ur acct, sorry sir ur not winning ur race. Actually, ur just all in 50,000 times in a phucking online mtt, which is ridic, so you have to be luckier than shit.

Read Arnold Snyders 'Advanced Tournament Poker Formula'. It will give you a different approach to these MTT's, and explain why alot of HOH is wrong. Good luck.

Everyone can read the strategy's being posted. It's not a cookie cutter adventure.

How about learning to read and play situations vs. an overall "strategy" There are many times in a tournament where you need to play your opponents hand instead of yours. While I do agree that tight early is the way to go, you should still be increasing your chip count instead of folding every hand.

Think of it this way.... If everyone reads the same article and is playing the same way, how are you going to have an edge on anyone? Those articles are good starting points but you need to find ways to open up your own game to not play exactly the same as every other player. Otherwise you are solely relying on on winning races.
