We know a little bit about who the player is - it's a young kid in Sweden (18 years old, we believe).  He's not a known poker name as he hasn't played live tournaments, and his name has not been released.  He kind of appeared out of nowhere yesterday--at least on that account name--but the news broke out all over Sweden very quickly yesterday.

Apparently they're going to play more today?

He's been around for at least a month...first day he rolled the new account run goods and won. Then he played every limit and got owned hard by every reg. Dunno why Durr sat with him when he was getting cold decked the whole time.

Plus Ziigmund trying to get a game at 500/1000 NLHE

Edit: I think it's because it's double points happy hour

Just a simple question.

How does an 18 year old open a new account and get enough money into his account so that he can afford to play nose bleed stakes?  Western Union?  Bank transfer?

Or did someone transfer him a bunch of money?  And if so - on what basis would you be transferring someone a significant amount of money who has never played the game before.

And sorry - my sarcasm font is currently not working.

robert flink aka Gulkines from crypto seems most likely - the playing style seems v similar and also the sweden link - used to play the same overbet pot style with nuts or air alot - back when £20k NL was the biggest games online

Pretty weird how these guys just come out of the blue to play the biggest cash games in the world.

Isn't there deposit limits?

If someone transfers them all this money, doesn't it make it very possible that same person is actually using the account?

I imagine before the massive transfers take place there is some contact with FTP about what's going on to avoid any issues.
