If you're gonna keep late reg. open for an hour for the minefield mtts, u gotta double the guarantees. So gay...

Uhm, I agree with OP. It is seriously stupid that for any mtt that doesn't meet the guarantee they keep registration open basically until it does.

every time im 5 minutes late for a tourney, the late reg is already closed.  but of course it seems like every tourney i do play, the late reg lasts up until the final table

Meh, this won me a tourney today. I noticed $22 plo8 was running about 3 mins before the first break and I signed up late and shipped it. This really serves no purpose whatsoever outside of being an incredibly poorly disguised brag post.

and fwiw, it was already more than $3k above its guarantee, so it wasn't staying open just to hit that.

I'm in the $77 6-max turbo right now and it's still in late reg.  I'm sorry but 1 hour late registration for a turbo mtt is beyond ridiculous.  I could see maybe 20 minutes max, but one hour?  Get real...

I think this is yet another peace of evidence proving that Poker Stars has really fallen off and FTP is the place to play for serious MTT grinders.

FTP gives its players synced breaks, Stars gives us $.01 990 turbos.

FTP pays out 10-12%, Stars 15-20%

FTP adds late registration when people complain about not having it, Stars takes a good thing in late registration and abuses it.

FTP is the site to play MTTs on now IMHO.

you guys realize that when people reggie 30 mins late their stacks are way below average, giving them no room to work with and turning their entire tourney into a crapshoot. ultimately adding more dead money to the prizepool. think about it.

Its good for teh $5-2r1a Mtts. Start 2nd hr w/ 10k chips and a 100 BB. With a couple hundred already knocked out +EV.

As a microdonk, I love it because the prize pools are bigger than ever.

The nightly $4.40 Limit HE tourney used to struggle to top the $1,000 gtd pool. Now the pool often exceeds $4K and half of the entrants are only there to finger-rape their mouse buttons. Wheee.

Do you not realize how +ev t is for you, that people are late regging with 20 bb stacks when you have already been playing for an hour. God you people who dont like late reg are retarted.
