Some big breaking news regarding UB...

This is a x-post from 2p2.

OMG wow...

http://sandgate.co.clark.nv.us/servl...el=13819810002

The address is 1725 Glenview Dr.

138-19-810-002 HAMILTON RUSSELL & CAROLYN *20060523:03704 05/23/2006 JOINT TENANCY 200 SUBDIVIDED LOT

Okay people, the address on three of the accounts is owned by Russ and Carolyn Hamilton.

Any questions?

FWIW, this was the info given out by a UB whistleblower (not brainwash, as far as I know):

Customer ID: Token ID: Username: Status: Creation Date: Update Date: 227061 Sleeplesss Active 2003-09-16 16:33:01 2007-09-05 13:12:49 Name: Lauren B Makar Address 1: 1725 Glenview Dr. Address 2: Address 3: Address 4: City, State, Postal Code Las Vegas, NEVADA 89134 Country UNITED STATES Customer Phone: 702326xxxx Customer Birthdate: 1967-xx-xx Email Information: Address: atease@vegasinbox.com

I got rid of some information like the birthdate and phone number to protect whoever Lauren Makar is.

---

Basically, the address of one of the cheating accounts is Russ Hamilton's address.

This is the big thread, maybe someone else can summarize: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthread.php?t=237495

i dont know why you all feel you can attack annie so quick

shes been nothing but present on p5s since she took control of the tourney schedule.....god you guys are quick to judge

ya, you are probably right, but there is no reason to attack annie when shes been nothing but helpful to this forum

and ps....nat is a joke IMO (0bv many ppl respect him and gl to yall)

Obviously you've contributed a lot more towards all of this than Nat has.  OBV.  Give me a break.  The guy puts himself on the line, and it's not like he's exactly hiding from the world either.  Everyone knows his name, where he lives, what he does for a living, where he went to law school, the websites he used to run, the websites he currently works with, etc.

Ask yourself a question: What have you done to push this situation towards a resolution?  If the answer is "nothing," which it undoubtably is for almost everyone here, then maybe take a minute and think before you decide to call someone who has probably accomplished more at the age of 26 than you ever will in your life "a joke."

About 20 or 30 superusing accounts (ie, could see holecards) stole millions from high stakes players.  It went on for years before finally being detected.

That's probably the simplest wrap up possible.

Wowowowowow. Three of the superuser addresses are Russ Hamilton? That's insane. Let me guess, these are superusers that were also added because of 2+2 and weren't included in the original list? That would make a lot of sense and incriminate UB even more in the cover up.

That place just needs to be shut down. Thank god I got my scrilla off there a while ago. I guess now I just need to log on to drain my ub points off of there.

GG UB, I hope you get what you deserve.

They were in the original list released back in May.  Not defending UB, but they definitely didn't try to cover up those names in their superuser identification.

I need to just sit down and sift through that 2+2 thread where I left off I guess. You go away for half a day and there's 50 more pages to go through. Either way, that's a sick discovery.

I just hope that not only to people get refunded in total everything they're owed, but also the responsible parties serve time for this shit. It's so damn disgusting to me that accountability is non-existent so far. I'm really hoping that with more and more that is exposed, the accountability factor is going to start to be upheld somehow.

I can't believe some people still defend annie.  She comes in here spinning lies and spaming the boards for her piece of shit site. You can't tell me UB didn't know these accounts belonged to hamilton.  UB either has the most retarded computer department in the world or they are full of it.  new management my ass

I thought the new UB owners were trying to put things back together, but the load of crap seems to be unstoppable.

Nat, I'd like to congratulate you, and those who worked with you in this case. You guys have done an impressive job investigating this scandal, and the online poker community can't be thankful enough.

I have a question to you tho: Do you honestly think this is the end for UB? I'm asking this, because even with all the wrong-doing we already knew, thousands of players kept playing there. Will they even care if the owner of the company himself was the one stealing their money? What difference does it makes in their minds?

The excuse many of them had, was that the cheating only happened at the high stakes, therefore, they were not affected. I always found this an stupid excuse. It's like saying: Oh, Coca-Cola puts poison in their Diet products, and the order came from their CEO, but it doesn't affect me, because I don't drink Diet.

I hope this is truly the end for UB, that would make it harder for any other online poker site to try to cheat their costumers in the future.

Congratulations again Nat, I think I speak for everybody in this forum, if I say that we are proud of having you among us.

FWIW, the "owner" you speak of sold UB almost two years ago.

Also, I don't think this is the end for UB.  I think the site has sucked and screwed things up for years.  If Russ & Co had truly played their cards right, they could have been up there with FTP and Stars, making incredible amounts of money.  But the site sucked, the support sucked, they screwed up things like the tourney schedule over and over, etc.  I think all of those factors were/are more likely to end UB than something like this.  People just don't give a shit for whatever reason.
