Tiffany Michelle Interview on Pokerroad

Anyone listen to it?

She dismisses the UB scandal as in the past even though people are uncovering new and malicious things every week.  Just say it's because they hooked you up with a sweet deal to wear a patch, don't act like UB is on the up and up.

Also, I'm pretty distressed by her talking about how great her deep run will be for women in poker.  A woman won the WSOP Europe and has tons of other results to back it up.  Annette is the face of women in poker... Tiffany Michelle just ran well in one tournament and will no have no bearing (ZOMG) on poker for females for getting 17th in a tournament.  Congrats on being this year's Maria Ho!

I've listened to every pokerroad show and this is honestly the first time ever where I had trouble getting through the show because of the guest.

Sorry about the vent.  Just really annoyed and aggitated by the whole thing.  I think she just rubs me the wrong way.  Not sure if I'm the only one.

EDIT:  I know nothing about Maria Ho's game in the least, I just know the two times I've seen her at this year's WSOP she was walking around with bodog gear talking about her agent while on her cell phone.

she totally sold out Pokernews who BOUGHT HER ENTRY, I hope they take a bunch of her money in court.  Maybe UB's new management is heading in the right direction but let's be honest here she went for the $$$ only.  She's not going to be the face of women for poker, she's as Wein said this year's Erin Ness or whoever else.

Ive listened to almost every single version of the pokerroad show, whether it be on Pokerwire, Cardplayer etc... and the only episode i actually had to turn off was the one with Jennifer Tilly. Hopefully this one isnt that bad, i havn't had an opportunity to listen yet but my expectations are now set pretty low.

I was rooting for her to make the final table because i feel like it would have been  a compelling story, but she seemed to dust the chips off pretty quick. I didn't get to follow the ME coverage too intently, but it seemed like she was just aggressive and ran pretty well.

Maria Ho is actually a pretty sharp player imo, well based off this interview I read of hers one time, but she sounded like she knew what she was talking about and even said she hated tournaments!

someone has to fill the void of Annette until she's 21.

Tiffanny Michelle sold out Pokernews who employed her AND paid her entry etc into the main event to join with the shady, dodgy cheating scum at UB> What a whore imo.

Sounds like she'll fit right in at UB!

I don't agree with the name calling but I have lost a ton of respect for TM... its sick to hear she is dismissing the UB thing. Whoever is giving her advice is an idiot and ruining her upside.

Would love to hear Bax or Camby's opinion on this topic, as I respect both of them.  Tiffany's opinion is like listening to an actor comment on religion or politics... Useless and s/b ignored..

Wein,

I actually do believe that with the volume of coverage, plus being the actual U.S. main event it is easily as significant as Annette winning the WSOP Europe. Not knocking Annette, I'm a big fan, but you simply can't shrug off her 17th place finish as not being significant, not with all the TV, print and other media coverage....

17th in a 6800 person field is huge, and certainly compares as well to finishing 1st in a 360 person field.

I'm not sure what sort of deal she had with Poker News so I have no firm opinion on that, just my speculative opinion, although I will say Poker News did a fantastic job of reporting all of the action.

I can completely see within the scope of reason that since her sponsor was a news site, and not a playing site, that she could believe or justify that she had the right to seek endorsement from another source, such as a poker site.

Obv. it would have been unkosher for her to accept an endorsement from a competing news outlet, but unless her sponsorship agreement spelled out that she was restricted from accepting other endorsements, I say more power to her.
