UB steals players money and holds it hostage...attn ANNIE DUKE, poker HO, westtexasman

I had played online at pokerstars for a while a few months back then quit online poker (namely I quit that site and didnt have an account on any others).  A couple months ago I opened an account on ultimatebet to play a few mtts and cash games.  Instead of going to the trouble of depositing I had a friend of my husbands transfer me $1195 and I paid him $1200 cash.

I have since ran that balance up to just under $5000.
My husband nor his friend have ever had any trouble cashing out via UB and all checks have cleared.  My husband started his UB account with a transfer from the same friend and DID have to deposit before he could withdraw...but after a $50 deposit all of his options worked fine.

I have been trying for 3 weeks now to make a withdrawel from this crooked site.  I did try to withdraw AND transfer back to my husbands friend for cash before making a deposit. This resulted in me being taken to a screen that said I was not eligible to transfer and one that said "You are not allowed to make withdrawels."  So I wrote the mg@ultimatebet.com addy and requested the info needed for a moneygram deposit.  My husbands friend said when he did a moneygram deposit his client instantly displayed the needed info on a sample form in the client window...he DID NOT have to write them.  I went to walmart and made the deposit and got the reference code.  I then went back to the client to enter the reference code but the screen would not come up to allow this.  It then took THREE emails to get a response from UB and they took the reference code in the email and finally cleared the deposit.  The 48 hr wait period after deposit before you can withdraw is now up, and yet the client STILL gives me the "cannot withdraw" screen and the "cannot transfer " screen.  This despite the fact that I began emailing them to make sure the options were available when my wait period was up on saturday in anticipation of this problem.  I have still recieved ZERO response from UB and feel like they have no intention of giving me my money although they have no problem with me playing every day and winning more.

My husband and his friend have NEVER had any problem.  I feel like I am being ignored because of my sex and have finally decided to take this to the message boards.  This is inexcusable and you pros who rep this crooked site should be ashamed.

There was an issue early on my husbands friend and I recieved an email saying we could not play in the same mtts because it looked like we could collude because he had sent me the transfer.  We played the same mtts occasionally because we had a small crossbooking bet.  We explained the situation but they still said they couldnt allow it so he took his money off UB (he doesnt play cash games) and started playing stars and fulltilt.  His withdrawel went through as usual in less than a week so that shouldnt be part of the problem but I thought I should mention it.  only about $400 of my total wins was in mtts anyway most of it was won in cash games.

Can any ub pros/reps please get your customer support to help me?

"But its funny that when I posted about a genuine concern I had with a pretty sizeable amount of money for a part time player on a site that you guys constantly bash...that the majority of the responses attacked me and defended the site.  And Im guessing the "females cant play poker " thing was in jest but ill play up to 200nl heads up with anyone who wants on ub (prefer 4 tables simultaneous at 100nl).  "

do your husband a favor and givem a divorce...  people bash you because of the temper tantrum you have posted.  Calm down and wait for your money to clear.

1: Bravesavage is right, the sexism card is wacked. I'm female, played there for years, never had trouble cashing out.
2: You mentioned doing part of this on saturday and having to wait up to 48 hours to be verified.  Thats probably 48 hours during business days which sarturday and sunday are not.
3: The sites have to really make it hard for those wanting to launder illegally gotten funds, and they all have stringent rule about cashing  out without deposits or verifying your info.
4: calm the fuck down.

Here's what I think about all this.

OP is really the husbands friend, who is really the husband = multi-accounter who is panicking that he can't get his funds off his "wifes acct".

I thought it was common knowledge that UB requires some type of deposit before you can withdraw. It doesn't have to be much but you need to deposit so that they can link your account to whatever method you wish to use to withdraw to. i.e. you must make a deposit with ePassporte/Neteller before you can withdraw via that mechanism.

UB support can be slow, and it's frustrating at times, but they have always paid. Whether you agree with the hoops they make you jump through or not, I have no doubt they will pay you your monies.

When you are done with the verification process please change the hysterical title of this thread.

I have sent this on to the head of customer service.  PLease let me know that someone has reached out to you.  If you want to PM me with your account name it would probably speed things up.

You are right about the pain in the ass it is to get money out vs to get money in.  Drives me nuts too with every site just on a philosophical basis.  I'm going through the whole verification process myself with Bodog and it's a pain.   (Not to mention I hate the idea of scanning ID and sending it into cyberspace.

But that's what everyone is going to require these days.  And they'll require a deposit at every site too.  From your post I think you are getting the standard treatment which in this case isn't really that long.  It takes a while on first cashouts.  My subsequent UB cashouts were done in a snap.

Yeah it's frustrating
Doesn't sound any out of the norm to me
Quicker so far than many sites

And like everyone else said, drop the sexism thing.  Get over it and don't just drop that card whenever in life you don't get what you want.  Do you like it when Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson show up whenever something awful (or just plain everyday annoying) happens to a black person?  Personally I don't.  Should I drop the Jew card every time something happens to me because people might guess from my real life name?  NO THAT's CRAZY.

Sad that what likely got you such quick responses and attention was playing the *oh it's sexist* thing.

Bon.

p.s. to Annie if she reads this.  Nice to see you help someone so quick.  I just hope it wasn't the sexism charge that got you there.  Hopefully you'd have done the same for anyone.

Your entire post is insulting to intelligent people.

#1.) Usually not wise to call someone crooked and then ask for their assistance.

#2.) I am so sure that your being ignored because of your sex - about as baseless a statement I have ever read.

#3.) Of course you magically, in a happenstance sort of way, mention the husbands friend/issue early on/collusion reference at the tail end of your bullshit.

#4.) FYI, people seeking assistance should have their first request for help be polite, rational etc., as this is the perfect example of how not to go about getting help.

VERY WELL SAID!

It would probably help speed things up if you could also send proof of your sex.

Thank you annie,
they took care of it yesterday about 45 minutes after the thread went up.
I posted immediately when they enabled the withdraw and transfer features.

I have yet to play in any serious tourneys on UB because of all the mixed stories I have heard about the site.  It seems as thought UB and its sister site Absolute Poker have a bad rep in the online poker industry with a bunch of scandals in the last couple of years.  Can anyone tell me the benefit of playing on these sites?
