I have sngwiz but it will only let me do steps style stts or regular 3 payout formats for pokerstars structure and i want to be able to compute this kind of scenario from an 18 man 4 payout... did i make the right play?

Nash ICM Push/Fold Calculator
^^Here's another. Change the structure to meet 18 mans. (4,3,2,1) should work for most sites.
Here's the Nash Equilibrium for this spot:
| BU |
|
| 33.9%, 22+ Ax+ K5s+ KTo+ Q8s+ QTo+ J7s+ JTo T7s+ T9o 97s+ 86s+ 76s<<hands you can shove |
|
| SB |
| 14.6%, 44+ A5s+ A8o+ KJs+ KQo <<proper calling range for SB |
|
|
| BB |
2.6%, TT+ AKs |
|
| BB |
| 20.5%, 33+ A2s+ A5o+ KTs+ KJo+ QTs+ <<proper calling range for BB | Three other considerations:
1. If you feel that the blinds have tighter calling ranges than 14.6/20.5%, then you can shove more hands, and therefore that moves K9o into shove territory.
2. With 5.7BBs your FE is fading fast and that had to be a consideration.
3. If you get called and win, you'll have the lead, and be able to abuse the situation, so your true equity will be greater than it is on paper.
With those other factors in play, I'm shoving this unless I think they are calling too wide.

Note: In the future, with 4 remaining in an 18-man SNG with payouts of (108,81,54,27) you can still use SNG wiz. Just remove 4th place money from all the places and input the prizes as (81,54,27).
Hope that helps!

That's absolutely golden Jen, thanks for taking the time to write that out: im having a bit of a killer month having played 1000+ games and -$400 despite feeling on top of my game as much as I ever have been - hence the questions. I know this kind of downswing is practically inevitable but it has led me to analyse absolutely everything which is why im trying to go over and over these kinds of situations.
If I find you looking for answers I will certainly try to help!
