Yes, AP called me and informed me that they will be putting $500.00 into my acct. as a result of my personal information being sent out in the infamous HH. AJKhoosier posted the other day about receiving an email from APwatchdog, the same email I received, so I can only imagine that all users who's personal info. was made public will receive the same $500.00. In my brief conversation the rep. sounded as though they were making a lot of these calls, but didn't give out any new info.

If you received the APWatchdog email and not the $500, don't ask for it directly. Just forward the APwatchdog email you received to AP Support and ask what in the world is going on!
Also there were 270 emails captured in that file. That's a lot of phone calls and might take a few days. $135K that AP is potentially dishing out for breaching account security. I imagine they will do something like credit everyone that played that tournament a free entry into another 1K event. Good way to get some of the players to re-install the software I think.
It was suggested that a better solution to increase security on your account is to actually change the email associated with your account versus just improving the security on your existing account as recommended by APwatchdog.
There were 4 sets of potential multi-accounters captured in that file as well. That is 2 distinct accounts captured from the same IP address, a couple of them even had the same email address associated with 2 accounts. I wonder if when going down the list and calling these folks AP will investigate to see if they were both actually playing the tournament and if so are they really 2 different players.

Do you have any of the contact information? I closed my account there and accused the site of cheating...

Well this is a interesting quandry. Congrats to the OP on getting $500 in "hush" money. AP is damage control mode. Lets see how it works out. Personally I would allow them to post the $500 in my acount then transfer it out onto another poker site or take the cold hard cash. These sites only make money by us playing on them and raking the money from us. It is time to tell these sites that it is time to start using this money that they are making into increased security controls and a safer gaming environment. This problem should of never happened. Why it did I hope comes out in their wonderful investigation they are doing. I believe that they are going to do everything to appease the gamblers on there site and not fix the problem. Maybe I am wrong but with them throwing out money like it is canday at Halloween I am still not secure with them actually fixing the problem. This has been a good read for me and a great reminder that people will do anything to win except hone their craft to be the best at it.
