Time for the PPA to exploit the internet to get the message out?
By Kajun on 04-27-2008 3:24 AM

Hi,

As someone who knows my way around the interwebz, I am wondering why the PPA doesn't exploit sites like digg, squidoo, etc..etc. With 1 million members who can easily make any type of blog really popular, why not use FREE resources like this to help get the word out.

I could do a blog on multiple sites and by myself make it have tons of views in a week. So with the "force" of members the PPA has, why not use that to create a "grass roots" campaign online.

The could use youtube, myspace, facebook, google etc..etc Whoever is behind the scenes at the PPA really needs a good lesson in online marketing, imo

PPA's new website will come online in a couple of weeks.  It contains blogs for each state and for specific issues.  PPA is on YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, and Google:

So, PPA is on it.  However, we could certainly benefit from increased visibility on the web.  In fact, one of the main things I'm looking for in the state committee I'm forming now is a social networking captain.

Would you be interested in volunteering some time to help PPA with some of this?  You can sign up at www.pokerplayersalliance.org/volunteer , or just email me at rich@pokerplayersalliance.org .  Thanks.

I have a new MySpace page, at www.myspace.com/theengineer2008.  The Kentucky PPA site is at  www.myspace.com/kentuckyppa

I've been digging a lot of our info.  I'll include them in my future PPA communications as well.  I hope everyone here will look for my digg links that I post here and will digg these.

Thanks again for the help Kajun.

I'm up to 541 friends on digg, and am getting more every day.  Our shout-outs have been generating interest and action.  I think I have a sufficient base so that once I request an add in the next email alert, it could really get going.

Everyone:  I'm "TheEngineer2008" on digg. If you add me as a friend, you'll get regular updates on what you can do to keep poker legal. Thanks!
