this bill may need to pass.  people don't really seem to care, if a state made it a felony i think it would wake a lot of people up.

Thanks for posting this, Bryan. It's critical that poker have a voice on Tuesday, especially with criminialization on the line.

Here's information on what the Casino Bill would do if you're not sure what we're discussing:

I'll be there with my wife and daughter.  I figure a live civics lesson will be much more interesting/educational than anything she'll learn in Kindergarten that day.  I live in Western Mass so its a 2 hour drive for me.  I hope lots of other people get there!

Yes, it's great that folks in Mass will take a stand.  I encourage everyone to go.  Don't let them do what they did to poker players in Washington state.

Sounds like Patrick's casino proposal is getting shot down today.  Has everybody been following the news on this?

Personally, I would love to see legalized casino gambling in MA.  After all, this is a suppossedly free country, right?

That said, if legalized casino gambling comes at the cost of criminilizing online play, I'm glad to see Patrick's bill fail!!!

Does anybody know the status of Barney Frank's attempt to pass a federal bill to legalize/regulate online gaming?  This would probably the greatest thing that could ever happen to online play.

It's looking like this bill will fail!!  Like others have said, I'm all for casino gambling in Mass., but not at the expense of online poker.

As an update, this bill was ultimately voted down.

Great work by John Pappas and the PPA of helping to strike this awful piece of legislation down.
