After clicking in The Engineer's post that gives you the above link for sending the PPA letter to your state's Governor, Upper Chamber Representative, and Lower Chamber representative, I followed the link and sent via email the provided letter to my Representatives of Massachusetts.
A couple days passed and I just received a phone call from State Senator Tolman's office. They were calling in regard to the email they received and I had a few minutes to discuss with his staff member the rights of poker players and our current plight.
They informed me that he is only a State Senator and didnt have any implication in the Federal ruling. I told the staff member of how the latest UIGEA clarification left it up to the state in which the "bettor" resides and so forth.
Anyways, the highlight came when staff member informed me that Senator Tolman DID believe poker was a skill game and while he didnt have an official stance on the regulation, he is open to listening to all sides and arguments.
It may not be a hugely significant win with specific regards to Senator Tolman, but to know that the government offices are taking their time to call us back and hear our side of the story should be inspiring to all of us...
