DID I PLAY THIS HAND BAD?

I AM IN A 2.25 DOUBLE STACK TOURNYEY AND I HAVE ABOUT 15000 CHIPS AND THE BLINDS ARE 100/200. WE ARE STILL A LITTLE WAYS FROM THE MONEY AND THE AVERAGE IS ABOUT 9000-10000. I GET DEALT QQ IN MIDDLE POSITION AND THE GUY FIRST TO ACT WHO HAS ABOUT 7800 MAKES IT 400 AND THE NEXT GUY FOLDS AND THE NEXT 4 PEOPLE CALL MAKING THE POT ABOUT 1900 WHEN IT GETS TO ME. I HAVE 15000 CHIPS AND I FIGURE THE GUY FIRST TO ACT HAS AK OR AN UNDER PAIR AND I PUT THE OTHER PLAYERS WHO CALLED HIS BET ON HANDS LIKE K Q OR SUITED CONNECTORS SO I SHOVE MY 15000 IN THE POT TO TRY AND TAKE IT RIGHT THERE. THE GUY WHO MADE IT 400 FOLDS AND THE NEXT GUY CALLES AND THE OTHER 3 FOLD. THE GUY WHO CALLED MY ALL IN TURNS OVER AA AGAINST MY QQ AND I LOSE THE HAND KNOCKING ME OUT. IF I COULD GET SOME ADVICE ON WHAT I MIGHT HAVE DONE WRONG THAT WOULD HELP ME SLEEP TONIGHT. THANKS.

Why risk 15000 chips in this spot preflop?

A small raise to 3x or 4x the pot would get out the limpers and force AA to do something other than make an easy call on an all in bet preflop.

One of the reasons I will sometimes just complete a raise with AA is the hope that one of the blinds or button will open push trying to steal and I can call them with a dominating hand.

It didnt matter anyway if he pushes I still call and if I raise 2 or 3 times his raise and he slowplays his AA the flop came 699 and I still go all in so it didnt really matter what happened I was bound to go out.

See, the thing is here, preflop, your raise is going to polarize his holdings.  I know some players are terrible and all, but generally I am more than willing to get away from QQ if someone pushes over my iso raise preflop.  Usually they are doing that with AA or KK most of the time and want you to call.

If you reraise and then he flats you and you see a flop.  You can still put out a probe bet on the flop and shut it down on the turn if he still smooth calls you.  I like QQ, but it is a vulnerable hand.

You are looking for ways to play it differently and not go broke.  All I am saying is that if you are willing to put in so many BB's with just QQ preflop.  It is a leak.

Exactly.  Although it's possible that OP would still go broke here, the idea is that raising from 400 to 15000 with QQ preflop is never the right play.  Raise to 1600 or something, and if the original raiser comes over the top, you might be able to get away from the hand.  If he just calls, you can practice pot control on the flop, turn, etc.

Just because there's the possibility of going broke (and I could go broke with QQ on a 669 flop too, in some circumstances) doesn't mean it's a foregone conclusion.  Playing a bit more cautiously will minimize your losses when you have the worst hand, and could maximize your profits when you have the better hand.

Even if the villain had AK, do you want to race for stacks when you have 75 BB?
