Been running pretty well in 5050 theres around 320 players (prob in the top 50 or so chip count wise) left when I found QQ in the sb when faced with a 3bet from a fairly solid not overly aggressive player from the button, with my stack i wonder whats the best way to approach this hand with my stack over just under 50bbs.

3650 in its 1950 to you - fold isn't an option & calling is sick - that leaves raising. As any raise commits you & pushing make being OOP moot just push.

my 2 cents

How about calling, praying initial raiser do not raise (or even folds - which is highly unlikely given the pot) and then shoving any flop that does not contain an A or a K (or a Q of course)? That way you are more likely to push AK hands off that are likely to call an all-in shove pre as AK wants to see 5 cards, and still dominate lower pairs. If you run into AA or KK then wtf, you were destined to lose all your money anyway.

Any reads on other players involved? That always helps Big Smile

Flatting 15% of your stack OOP & inviting the original raiser in so you can face 2 hands w/Qs? Thats just sick! I guess it is an option but I don't like it much. The last thing you want is the original raiser coming in so you have to worry about under cards making a set.

You're getting a really nice overlay to a race so AK is fine. You wouldn't mind taking the pot as is and you absolutely want to isolate at least. As you say if its AA/KK ul, gg - but thats the same outcome :)

Also look what happens to the pot if we call, it'll end up being 2/3 of our remaining stack. We'll be OOP and have to open push most boards anyway and anyone with 11/12 outs will have the odds to call us down - also sick :(

I still say push pre.

another 2 cents

This is the best of the three options by far IMO.
