I haven't played alot with SBRounder but i know he's an awsome player. Does anyone else thinks this is the correct player in a 109$freezout?

in this very hand the shortstack tanked for quite a bit and i was thinking what to do if he shoved and obv i thought i had re shove any 2 in, but then i realized he had 2 know i was shovin any2 here. Since we already made the money i expected the short stack to play pretty much any 2 there but he timed out and folded.

when the flop comes out i know for sure that IF SBR was trapping me preflop that flop couldn't helped me much so i checked. when he bet that amount it seemed like he begged me 2 push. i thought about it alooooooooooooong time and decided to flop.

If you're already in the money I don't see why you can't shove here. There's $11,550 in the pot and Rounder bets $5050 from the button. He's just playing aggressive poker with position on a smaller stack. His line is huge here. I think you're ahead here 70-80% of the time, if not more. You've got $25,127 left. If you shove he has to decide if he wants to risk another $20,000 on his draw, maybe TPTK or two overs. What kind of a flop were you hoping to see with JJ? If I'm Rounder and I find QQ-AA in this spot I am definitely re-popping you pre flop, especially with both blinds still to act because if I just call with a big hand, I'm giving both blinds better pot odds to call/shove with almost ATC. In that spot some people want to see the blinds shove ATC if they have a big hand like QQ-AA but I like to protect those hands pre flop, at least not make it a no brainer to shove J8off. That said, I dont think you're up against a bigger PP. So if he landed a set, you're hosed, but I still think you have to shove this. If you shove and he lets it go you're the chip leader. If he calls, you are ahead a lot of the time and you could cripple a solid player. Maybe not a snap shove, but definitely a shove IMHO.

ye, but the point in this hand is that the BB is basicly pot commited but he still have to re raise to go all in, and SB then knows i will have to re shove any hand i was raising cause if i get SBR to fold im getting an awsome price no matter what i have including 67s or some crap like that that there were no way i was giving him any action with if he re raise preflop.

i don't know if i would give SB that much credit to think through the hand that much, as well as have QQ-AA... therefore this is a definite shove on the flop for me.

Knowing where the shortstacks are and their effect on the hand you're in should be going through your head with every hand you play so yes he does know this.  Definately a wierd hand.  Given the stacks involved, I don't think he's flatting you light here ever, though I've never played with him.

The standard answer is to say shove, however this hand is very read/player dependant.  I think don't think he's flatting many hands with 10's in them besides maybe 1010.  I also don't think he's betting here with the intention of folding to a shove, so what could he have here?  Overs with a flush draw and overpairs seem most likely.  Also why would he only lead 1/2 pot here unless to lead you to believe you still have fold equity on a shove.

*edit* gotta reword this whole thing.  Thought SBRounder was Brian Townsend.  Most of the info in here still applies though.

So SBRugby and SBRounder are both Townsend? If I thought this was Brian playing the hand my thought process would be a whole lot different.
