$22 675 person MTT

He hasn't really played a hand up until this point. LMK what you think or how I could've played the hand better.

A re-raise PF anywhere b/w 300-500 is tha move with JJ here.  Folding to yer opponents all-in shove after flop is way too conservative.  Also maybe include reads imo.  Villain had anywhere from Ah with Kh,Qh,Jh or A6, perhaps even a pair Tens-Sevens.  Get your chips in and play more aggressive.

Yeah, I think this is the problem without reraising preflop.  Hard to really nail down a hand here.

I think there are tons of potential hands he has that your beating.  Would he play 1010 or 99 much different?  Also, you said he hasn't played a hand yet, over how many have you sat with him?  If he hasn't played one over 15 hands, that isn't saying too much (could be a bit card dead).  If he hasn't played in 100, then he's probably a tighter player.

Since you didn't reraise preflop, you have a low connected board, and he pushes your raise.  In reality, I have no idea what to make of this.  People cbet most boards, so your raise could mean anything (you figured he missed) so he's coming over the top.  I think he could have AK no draws here.  He might have QQ-AA, could have AK, AQ, heart draw, 77.

You have to call here.

Pretty much all that needs to be said.  You beat more then whats beating you here IMO.  If he has QQ+ then just unlucky.  I see AQ+, 88-1010 a lot here too.
