"If you're thinking about moving to another country to play online poker, especially Costa Rica, you probably need Kristin and P5s Poker Refugees more than you think. This is especially true if you don't speak Spanish fluently and will need help with just about everything you need to do. She did everything she could for Joe Cappuccio and I to make us feel at home in a foreign country and spent the rest of her time doing research and running around town getting everything squared away to get us back online and grinding ASAP. I really can't thank her enough for everything she put into our relocation."

"Anyone thinking of relocating should definitely sign up with Poker Refugees. It's a no-brainer. I can't even imagine how it would've all worked out if I didn't. It has made life just that much easier and has also been a giant web of contacts I've made since first meeting Kristin. As far as getting a place, setting up a bank account, and having lots of people around you, Poker Refugees took care of all of that."
Gino Levrini
"I got back on PokerStars within a few days of my arrival at my new home in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica thanks to Kristin knowing exactly what documents PokerStars requires. The move for me was a huge transition and Poker Refugees has been instrumental in making the transition as smooth as possible. I have been hearing that there are other grinders who are thinking of making the move and hiring Kristin at Poker Refugees is totally +EV."

- Hi Kristin, Just wanted to ask you a question about taxes when moving to a certain country. How long do u have to live in a certain location to be exempt from US taxes? Do u have to be a permanent residence to apply for local tax laws?2011-11-20 20:27:35

dustindmarks: First of all, this wall app sucks. Danksta14 you are NEVER exempt from paying US income taxes if you are a citizen. You can claim a credit (Foreign Earned Income) of $91,500. You are also required to declare ALL accounts that you hold outside of the US and the amounts in same.
2011-11-23 02:52:43

dustindmarks: Also you need to meet travel restrictions (no cuba), and you must meet residency requirement, usually ONE FULL TAX YEAR.
2011-11-23 02:57:13
KristinPokerRefugees: GUYS - At Poker Refugees we can refer you to tax professionals in all the countries we cover who specialize in providing this type of info.
