can $$$$aaaa$$$$ on cake pls get in touch, or anyone who knows him/her
The Cake 2.0 software tells you quickly what price your gold cards are trading at based on current buy orders. No need to do any 'research'...just click the gold cards tab inside 'Rewards'. Cake also says the A of spades is the rarest gold card dealt at 5,000,000 to 1 odds. You hit the lottery...but you threw away your winning ticket.

Do poker forums hurt our chances of regulation?
The US Congress made the silly laws preventing Americans from playing online poker. The current American approval rating of the US Congress is 17%...the LOWEST in the entire 236 year history of the USA. Congressmen are busy berating each other and American citizens are busy berating the incompetent Congressmen. There is plenty of berating going on here, and I don't think ANY Congressmen (or anyone else) care if poker players berate each other in poker forums. The popularity of online forums and Twitter and Facebook and others has ushered in the current tidal wave of berations. Berations have ...

Need advice on how to put poker on your resume
I vote you leave poker OFF the resume. You can fill in time gaps on the resume by simply calling yourself a self-employed stock or Forex trader for the years you played poker. I have used this ploy myself. The word 'poker' might impress a few people, but the word is much more likely to un-impress far more people than it impresses. Most people in the world DON'T play poker and they have little understanding of the game and when they hear or read the word, they conjure up thoughts of gambling addiction and bankruptcy and ruin...

What is the Safest Extended Stay in Las Vegas?
I actually lived at the Holiday Royale for a year. They have security gates and a night security guard, but anyone can just walk through the security gates behind a car and the security guard is always drunk, but I didn't have any problems with anyone there. The place is a block from the Hard Rock, and I also walked down to The Strip almost every day to play poker. The exteriors of the apartments are maintained well, but the interiors could use a full remodel job - old carpets and cupboards need to be replaced - but for an inexpensive and safe place to live near The Strip, I would recommend ...

What is the Safest Extended Stay in Las Vegas?
All the 'pay by the week' places in Vegas attract a seedy clientele, but once you get inside your room and bolt the door all will be well. I have often stayed at the Budget Suites with no problems, even though the same guy is always in the parking lot selling stolen CD's and packages of stolen tube socks from the trunk of his beat up 78 Monte Carlo. The WORST place to stay in Vegas is the Wild West Motel...crack heads and pimps and crack whores abound...avoid the Wild West Motel..

Bovada Poker (Utah) Shut Down
I too live in Utah. Brigham Young brought his brain-washed followers here in 1847 to form his own country called 'Deseret'. The entire state government in Utah STILL thinks Utah is a separate country and not part of the USA. Alcohol and gambling and sex and even COFFEE are frowned upon here in the nation of Deseret. There are only 49 states in the USA. Scratch Utah off the USA list.

Al D'Amato on Stossel last night
D'Amato totally dropped the poker ball in this interview. Alfonse allowed Stossel to take control of the debate and guide the debate into completely irrelevant arenas (like prostitution and heroin and terrorist money laundering.) Alfonse is 74 years old. I am afraid Alfonse was totally unprepared for Stossel's attacks. The struggle to legalize online poker was certainly not helped by this televised debate. Alfonse should have completely avoided Stossel's TV program.

Advice on going pro please!
Daniel Negreanu has stated almost ever poker pro he knows has gone completely busto a few times and pros like Matasow go busto regularly. Variance is a bitch. Ask yourself what you would do as a poker pro if you woke up some day and you were completely busto '

RIP megaupload
led zeppelinzoso16: The BIG issue in all this is the damn U.S. Department of Justice and the US FBI appointing themselves 'world police' of the internet. These assholes lurk around in the dark and suddenly shut down internet sites based half way around the world. These Nazis have now shut down Mega Upload and Full Tilt Poker and Absolute Poker and NONE of these sites were based in the U.S. If the R.I.A.A. and the M.P.A.A. felt like Mega Upload was infringing on their intellectual properties, then they could have simply sued in civil courts. The R.I.A.A. has been suing high school and college ...

Hi I'm new I have a poker question or about a hundred. I'll start with one.
After you absorb the 'pot odds' concepts, you can move on to the 'implied odds' concepts...good luck on your poker journey...all this is why poker is a game of SKILL..not luck.

Vegas Trip: Looking to play 1 week in 4 poker rooms.
$25 per hour in Detroit card rooms is about $50K per year. You have no debt and you own your condo. I vote you just stay in Detroit and keep your expenses low and continue to play live until online poker is completely legalized and regulated....then you can boost your income by playing online and playing live and still live in your condo in Detroit.

Servers are Down on Cake Poker 11:15 EST :(
I too was playing in a small tourney when the Cake servers went down last night...but they came back up after about 30 minutes and I made it into the money so I didn't e-mail Cake support and bitch about it...but in the past when this has happened at Cake, I e-mailed Cake support and they then refunded my buyins...

Best place to place $1/2 in Vegas
I vote for MGM for 1-2 NL ... usually easy to get a seat and usually more tourists than locals... If you sit at a Vegas table with 9 locals, YOU will be the fish ! Table selection is 1/2 the battle.

Legalize poker in Northern Ireland
I thought the US government was the only government treating poker as if it were some sort of evil sin inspired by Satan. Sad to hear the Northern Ireland government is doing the same thing...

JP Kelly dropped by stars
I have played a lot of craps ... the stickmen and boxman and pit boss WATCH for 'sliding' ... I have seen stickmen whack the dice with the stick and call 'no roll' if the shooter tries a 'slide'...I really find it hard to believe high roller stickmen at the craps tables at the Wynn would stand there and allow sliding to happen right in front of them and not do anything about it at the time the sliding was happening. This whole story sounds like Steve Wynn is simply pissed off because he lost 700K and he is cooking up these cheating stories to try to get back money that was won fairly...Steve ...

A must read!!! DOJ suggests that unlike sports betting, poker is not a game of skill
Sports point spreads were first adopted by the wise-guy illegal bookmakers in the early 1900's simply to get bettors to lay money on the underdogs. Many kneecaps have been broken in the U.S. through the years over unpaid sports bets, and kneecaps are STILL being broken today over unpaid sports bets. I find it INCREDIBLY bazaar and hypocritical and completely insane that the damn DOJ is suddenly shouting loudly about how great sports betting is and how much skill is required above that of a poker game. I bet on sports every day and I play poker every day and BOTH activities require much skill ...
