Re:-ROI question...? Sharkscope must have some bugs in my data because people always tilt off when i bust them with a draw. They complain to me that I have the worst ROI of all time. It's listed as (-750 percent). I have to thank Sharkscope for this because a lot of people that rely on "that" number have no clue that the worst ROI you can possibly have is (-100 percent) if I lost EVERY single SNG I ever played. I was trying to explain to one player who was berating me for calling a flush draw getting 4-1 pot odds on the flop but I realized I should give up because if he didn't understand that a ... UB Diamond Leaderboards No flames please, this is not a brag post. I finished out a stellar October at the Diamond Level SNG's on UB. By my calculations, I have 222 points on the monthly leaderboard. But their website doesn't seem to have an updated monthly leaderboard. Are they updating this regularly on their website. I'm anxious to see the results. Did they stop doing this promotion and I'm the last one to know' Thanks! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Frank's Bill -- I don't think we should be supporting this I joined the PPA, but I'm beginning to regret that decision. I think this bill benefits US casinos and tribal casinos more than it benefits the players. Barney Frank's legislation will make problems worse. We need legislation like Wexler's from Florida which gives skill based games like poker an exception to the UIGEA rather than regulation which we are going to regret in the future. The focus of this bill isn't poker but sports gambling. Much of the legislation is concerned with making sure sports leagues have control over gambling in their respective sports. Re(1): PPA email/F frist I joined the PPA a couple of months ago. Forty dollar membership. I've written my congressman, senators, etc. I have yet to receive my membership packet or promised T Shirt. Have you actually read the bill that they are proposing' This bill is a HUGE mistake. It is not a repeal of the UIGEA. In fact I think it may be worse than the UIGEA. I'm very scared we poker players have been bamboozled into getting behind the PPA for the sole purpose of benefiting US gambling operations. The bill would allow individual states to ban poker in their jurisdiction. It would allow MLB NCAA NFL etc. to be ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): oklahoma casinos I have seen some fairly poor decisions by the floor staff, but for the most part the dealers are pretty good. I was referring more to the operation not so much the floor staff. I was pretty ticked off I didn't get to play the St. Patty's Day tournament when the flyer said registration started at 9am and I get there at 9am hardly a soul is there and they say they have sold out. And I'm like, but the flyer says, yada yada yada. Anyway, yeah the floor staff is not great, but I think right now that's kind of an industry wide thing with the poker boom. Alcohol would be a definite plus, but lots of ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): oklahoma casinos Riverwind is apparently larger than Caesar's Palace. I think it's closer to what you might expect in Vegas, by Oklahoma standards anyway, than you would get at any of the other Indian Casinos. Most of those are pretty cheesy. I've been to Newcastle and Thunderbird and you would not enjoy these for your first casino experience unless you are looking to start from the bottom and move up. Fire Lake has just opened and I understand it's of comparable quality to Riverwind as I understand. But depending on where you are in OKC Riverwind is probably closer, and very close proximity to Norman, OK, ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): ram vaswami's response to that golf game with ivey I'm gonna use Ram's excuse to my bookie, that the game was rigged because he's getting vigorish and is a better handicapper than he used to be. GG my legs. Don't ignore the fact that Ram had played Ivey previously, so he wasn't coming in with zero info about his game. It's not like in "White Men Can't Jump" where they bring in a ringer nobody knows anything about. Ram is an idiot, if he thought he was outclassed he should have quit before he got over his head. And this is what's it's really about, he doesn't want to pay off a large number. If you are taking the worst of it QUIT! Then if you ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): oklahoma casinos Riverwind Casino just south of Norman, OK right off I-35 is probably your best choice, or Fire Lake west of OKC in Shawnee off of I-40. Pretty much everything else I wouldn't recommend for your first casino experience. The most common games spread are 1/2 No Limit or 3/6 Limit. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): is stalling allowed? I've had mixed results at UB. I'm pretty sure intentionally stalling every hand is not allowed. I have complained to support about someone stalling approx. 3 times. The first time, someone from support issued the player a warning for everyone to see, very funny by the way, as it completely tilted the guy. The second time, UB sent me an email, suggesting I should play turbos. The third time, they didn't get back to me in time, but said they would watch the player in the future. In short, I think the earlier you contact support to complain the quicker the guy will be dealt with, and probably ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Stalling when its h4h I have stalled on occasion, but not for the reasons usually mentioned. It's always when someone has raised enough to put me all in. Basically I'm waiting on someone to go out because I'm in a situation where I don't want to put my tournament on the line with this particular hand when I'll probably cash but if we do cash I will insta call with this hand as it is now playable if I want to move up and have a chance to win. It usually depends on the who the raiser is as well. I'm thinking of a hand like an AJ/A10/KQ vs. a big stack who I know will be raising a lot of hands. I don't want to coin ... Re(4): I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore! I just emailed UB support regarding hosting a regular tourney to benefit the PPA. I suggested in my email that perhaps it would be in their best interest to match or donate the fee from this tournament to the PPA as well. I'll get back to you on their response when it arrives. I'm not sure what kind of payout structure would be conducive to getting people to play on a regular basis. My thoughts are a low buyin perhaps $10+1 with 2 dollars from the prize pool and with luck 1 dollar from the fee contributed by UB. In a 300 person tourney this would represent a $900 per day donation to the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore! I now realize I MUST be a complete pessimist after reading the post about the charitable tournaments. GREAT idea, but I think we can combine our ideas. We should hold charitable tournaments to raise money to bribe/blackmail our "elected" representatives. Trust me this WORKS. If you think I'm wrong think of how many congressman are reporting to jail for accepting bribes. Money Talks! 5oon3r_L33t Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore! To be fair I gave an <air finger quotation> around "terror". Yeah not very "scary" I know. But you and I both know it doesn't matter what a lot, or even a majority of people think SHOULD happen. It's who has the most money and influence. I'm probably a pessimist but when you look at our current situation in Iraq, it's not about the VAST majority of americans who think we should take our lumps and pull out, it's about those who have the most MONEY to lose or gain. I'm just at a loss of what to do. I'd like to live in a fairy tale world where my AA hold up and my congressman gives a $hit ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore! Hear me out please! I've been stewing quite awhile over the UIGEA. I just finished signing up for the PPA and I suggest you should too. You can join for free or you can contribute financially to their campaign. HOWEVER! I feel more needs to be done! I believe more needs to be done than simply "writing" or "calling" our lame representatives. They have already shown they are deaf to our pleas. I suggest we start a campaign of "terror" much like our soldiers did in Vietnam to put fear in the enemies hearts and minds. I propose this action be undertaken by pocket fives and the general poker ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Almost over came a huge chip deficit. Unlucky break when I flopped two pair, K2 vs his KQ, turn K, River 5 paired the board for a chop, put a damper on the come back. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): NO Ub refunds from last nights tourneys Susie Que, I checked my account this morning and I have TWO credits for the same tournament for my chip equity at the time, but I have not received an email regarding the tournament. On a brighter note the total amount was a couple of bucks better than what I figured my chip equity was. Either my math was wrong or they juiced it a little. Good luck. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Something I've learned.. Ain't that the truth. I just won the 2:00 AM $5.50 the other day. It took me 2 hours and 52 minutes to reach 10,000 chips, chip leader was over 100 grand at the time I was continually near last before the bubble. 12th out of 13 before the final table. 8th out of 10 at the final table and then wham I move all in with QQ for 22,000 with two limpers in front blinds 2000/4000. Both call with KJ and K10, they don't improve and voila I'm in fourth. Get to four handed still in fourth. Long story short, "Don't give up"! Re(1): The Great UB Structure? I only play UB low limit buy in tournaments and I do like the structure, however my results seem to be better the lower the number of participants. The structure is the same regardless of whether it is a 300 person tourney vs. a 1000 person tourney and my tight play seems to work better with a smaller field. In the larger fields I feel like tight play isn't rewarded as much because i usually start running into opponents with much larger stacks compared to mine and they can afford to take some beats so my strategy seems to be more aggressive the larger the tournament.
