Re:sng bubble of a 45 man turbo
You're giving up too much equity by fearing the CL. Once you fold here and are hit by the blinds, you're stack becomes ineffective, and you're no better off than the other shortstacks. I really hate a fold here, and not to toot my own horn, I'm extremely confident in my 45-man abilities. Play for 1st place. Just because once in a while you'll run into a big hand doesn't mean you have to fold for the security of getting in the money.

Re:sng bubble of a 45 man turbo
Yikes- absolutely shove. Your M is 2.9. Yes, you are third in chips, but this is a 45, and I implore you to "go for the win" in these. No, that does not mean make crazy calls and shoves with blatantly lopsided stack distributions in your favor. Here though, yes you are UTG, but you need to use your FE while you have it. Too often players fold and slip into the money, only to bust in 7th or 6th. The amount of firsts you'll get being a little more aggressive makes up for the times you bust infinite times over. SHOVE SHOVE SHOVE!

1) Technically it's illegal, and if found out you'd probably lose your account etc. 2) Tons of people do it, and it would be nearly impossible to get caught if that's as far as you take it. Up to you

Hey, sorry if it seemed I was ignoring anyone- I had a death in the family, then had to make up finals, and had a whole bunch of other stuff randomly popping up, so I had to take a mini leave of absence. I will be back online etc. shortly

Re:How many tables can you play? (sngs)
Played with Real Threat a ton and he's not very strong. I think he makes like $2 a game with an 8% ROI at the lowstakes which isn't great, but if he's 25-tabling it's decent. He could make a lot more if he reduced his volume and patched up some of the leaks. Basically, you may be able to play 25-30 SNG's but if you're sloppy it'll make it not worth it and cost you tons of money in the longrun. Make your game solid at a low volume then slowly add tables as it gets easier and easier.

Well I continued doing research and read comparison reviews etc., and the Accord just owned both of them in almost every respect. Oops.

Re:Which car should I choose?
Prior to my search I would have agreed Civics aren't cool, but the Si is extremely cool, and not a normal Civic by any means. Also, the mazdaspeed3 is a hatchback-type thing, which I'm not into

Re:Which car should I choose?
Yeah, I've been told you lose so much value leasing because you're giving up all your equity in the investment etc. (you lose money in the longrun), but also for that money lost there are other benefits, such as a) always in warranty, b) smaller monthly payments, c) no hassle at the end of term, etc. For those reasons, and the fact that I know I'll want something new after three years, I feel like lease is a viable option for me. I don't know though, you're probably right

Re:Which car should I choose?
Ugh, I agree it is so so pretty- the main problem I have though is that if I get it I really SHOULD upgrade to the V6, but that makes it like $25-28k, which is significantly above my initial $18-22k budget. sadjlf;lgkjgl;fkdsjfas;lfkadjsg;ldsgkjdsf. Also cannot figure out now whether or not I should lease or buy.

Which car should I choose? EDIT: yay picked one
I am dead split 50/50 on which of these cars to get. I've never had my own car, and am really excited to finally drive something enjoyable. I've done extensive research on both of these, and it's basically only made my decision harder. I'd appreciate any opinions on which of these you recommend- it could definitely make the difference for me, lol. I posted the link which directly compares both cars, hopefully it works. = The first choice is the 2008 Honda Civic Si Coupe, and the second is the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe. I like the look of the Altima better and it gets better ...

If you aren't getting the cookie basket you are losing value on your FPP's, plain and simple. Only other viable option to get value out of them is to name stars.

New car ideas?
I am finally looking into getting something decent, and really am having a tough time finding a good match. Hopefully some of you guys have suggestions; maybe you recommend something you have or have friends that love their cars, etc. Anyway, my price range is about $12k-$20k, basically want a decent vehicle but nothing too fancy. I'd like to lease it, although I know I'll be losing a bunch of value over the long haul. I don't want to deal with reselling or trading it back in, and will definitely want to change things up a few years down the road (npi, ugh). Thanks for any ...

Re:Question about Moving up levels in SNGs.
Generally speaking, the play in the $16s is very comparable to that of the $6.50s. Competition-wise, there is almost no difference. Of course there will be some extra grinders, but these grinders will often be very weak themselves. The key issue here is your level of comfort and the state of your bankroll. Before moving up at all, I recommend you make certain you crush your current stake level over a decent sample, and that you maintain your bankroll conservatively. Especially in turbo's, while you may be completely outclassing your opponents, vicious swings will still swoop in ...

Re:Downswing in 9-mans?
From the sound of it, your results/large downswing are a strong indicator of glaring leaks in your game. As said before, often the first step to becoming a better player is accepting the fact that you have countless flaws that need to be improved on. A common misconception among beginners especially (and sadly among even some distinguished players) is that they wholeheartedly subscribe to the belief that they "run worse than everyone else". Statistically this is foolish and counterproductive; blaming your poor results on the cards over a significant sample is devastating to your ...

Re:lol @ Kidd
I never particularly liked Kidd myself, but saying he is overrated is absurd! The foul he committed tonight completely deserved the flagrant-two, and I don't doubt he is one of the dirtier players in the league. Still a great point guard however,
