as long as we're not talking about sitting out for more than a hand or two AND you wait to sit-out until you are UTG+1 i think running around with your head cutoff for a hand is silly. In these positions in MTT, if you only want to play AA, KK, QQ, JJ, and AK (Playing more may be marginally profitable, but not enough to merrit mentioning). Then you are only talking about folding 6/220 hands that you would have otherwise played. This is rouhgly 2.72% per hand you miss. There is nothing wrong with helping them get you allin with JJ, and having them push is ok too. It is unlikely they have the flush, and alot of hands are looking to get alot of money in fast with this board. If you have more money on the table you can play the hand as a draw that likely doesn't need to improve just be willing to face ugly situations when the next spade comes.

Re(1): Deal Making-Need some advice
In a 3r most players arnt very comfortable at the final table and want to deal even if its bad for them. I suggest chip chopping when you are chipleader and not settling for chip chopping when you are not chipleader. If you are new to splitting ill explain chipchop. Chipchop: you pay each place the current pay had they lost next. Then you take the remaining prizepool and divide it based on chip equity. Given a big chiplead you can actually end up in better shape than first place pay with this deal structure. It is unlikely the other players will agree to this if you have that big of a lead, ...
