Re:what do i do here 4 th in chips not easy to say but normally his reraise is a higher pocket or a good ace in most cases. problem is its a rebuyer so first question is - was it still in rebuy phase ' if yes it would increase the chance of opponent holding a good ace or suited pics. on the flop you bet hard saying you hit this board. his reraise all in can now be just a steal try (but thats very rare when he wasen't very aggresive before) or the hands that i mentioned above. So in most cases its a range of AK, AQ or QQ or AA putting you all in. If he has a straight flopped (in my eyes even rare with KJ) he would ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

what to do with oesd and middle pair bad kicker on this flop ? i'm in the big blind and have over average stack with 54 suited in spades. utg limps and a player in middle position limps too. the BU limps and i decide to check coz a raise won't bring much to fold on this family pot. flop is 356 two cards hearts. I do a minbet oop and i get 2 callers and the BU raises to 6 BB. for me it looks like its a protection bet (he has set or two pair or already straight and afraid of a flush) and i fold coz i dont think my OESD and middle pair is much here and other 2 callers may draw so i won't get my OESD anyway and I'm behind vs any 6x or ... Re:what to do with AK here ? the problem I see here is that due to the prizeladder a fold makes sense coz the CL's insta reraise all in gives me the info he has at least a small pocket and this is maximum COIN if you call. so I say its still possible to fold to get a better situation to push all in instead of just calling and we still have 11k left - so more than shorty and still enough to caught 2nd with just 18k. I consider this fold only to have more outcome (money) at the end of the whole thing. nothing else.... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

what to do with AK here ? sorry I dont have the hand history here but I remember most important facts: I played a small field MTT with 30 ppl buyin of 100$ with a friend of mine... It was short handed and we both managed to get to the last 2 tables. I quit short b4 money and my friend got to FT and managed to get ITM. Prizes where: 1st 1150$ 2nd 750$ 3rd 460$ 4th 290$ 5th 220$ The whole table was very inactive and all played very defensive as the following hand took place... My friend at 14k stack , shorty 8k , 2nd 17k and massive CL with 48k. The CL already raised some hands at blinds of 250/500 to 3 BB and all the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:I got pwned omg... I see moorman's example as an example of what kinda crap ppl doing here. my example is the same or will you ever push Q5s AI pf in the SB for no reason then just 2 big blinds on the FT of the biggest daily MTT at ongame ' If so you are the reason why ppl "love" us germans :-( Anyway if you haven't noticed yet: german players get even better and the world is looking at them different than maybe years ago... so switch on brain b4 posting.... Re:I got pwned Its a bit like one of my most loved sucks at FT in the 50$r 50k at bwin. (happend last week of november 2009) I was BB with AKs and had average stack and the SB was a little higher in stack and it folds to us and he goes all in.... I called to see him turning over Q5s - what ' But at least it was suited :) An here comes the miracle board: K76r turn 4 river 3 BOOOOOOOM Nice to get sucked like this or ' Hope we soon see us in the 50k at the FT again :) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:german players - this is a good chance to build a little BR yes - really :-) every ticket is worth arround 30$ and if you can turn this into cash on sunday its a good base to start from.... sunday tourneys start at 5 pm and go over 7-8 hours till the end.... so still a managable thing for up to 10k in bank [now PS must pay me something for this :-)] Posted in: Poker Discussion |

german players - this is a good chance to build a little BR I'm not really a big fan of pokerstars so far due to my MTT grinding and the very huge (1k+) fields there - I rather play 300-900 fields. Anyway...allthough I don't get money for promoting them [ I wouldn't mind they give me some for this post :-) ] there is a good option to build a little BR in november with PS in these weekly 100k freerolls. Living in Hamburg I have some good friends playing solid poker in the low stakes and we all read this promo and we were all sure this would really help to build up a nice little stack for freerollers or low stakers. Unfortunatly I missed ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

MTT stats question with OPR I saw there are fields for it but they are not filled with right numbers. I wanna know how much FT's somebody played and how often he got top3 and 2nd and wins in any played MTT. Do you see these stats at OPR ' For me its only showing 0 :-( Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:bad beats due to very tight play ? yeah but slowplaying sometimes does it too - just remembering a hand from the 50kR yesterday I got fully paid. Without slowplaying I wouldnt: me 66 and the opening raiser holds a10 and I call - flop 10x6 rainbow - he bets I just flat call - turn A - he bets I reraise all in and he definatly thought I have AK here and called to give me his full stack :-) read the whole story at my new blog: so slowplay does it too when you know the action will come from the other side for a high percentage of times :-) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:bad beats due to very tight play ? so what is the result in the end ' keeping it as it is with mostly pushing 70% and 80% hands to get bad calls and win mostly but suffer from bad beats sometimes or rather move more into nearly coins to loose it and say "ok it was just a coin - so what" :-) is there a perfect mix between these both styles ' and if yes how to manage it ' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:bad beats due to very tight play ? already nice to see answers come from both sides TAG's that rather play less than more hands with hope it pays long term and lets say "LAG's" - more aggressive players not playing every crap but having another selection for start hands. go on posting your idea's - thx Posted in: Poker Discussion |

bad beats due to very tight play ? after loosing KK vs 1010 on the mondays 50k FT at bwin I got once again to that point that make me post this topic: "The more tight you play the more often you get bad beats" now face some facts - I guess a big part of you P5ers would agree when I say the TAG style is the most efficient style to win money in the long run. selecting good hands to get them mostly paid or pushing and making moves in the right spots to take down a pot without cards. I know a lot of recent ongamers beeing more aggressive like me and I guess they can't really complain about bad beats that often due ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
