Sick Life Decision...WWYD? Sup bro, don't quit your day job! How about you REALLY commit to playing on just one of the off months you have' Playing 5 donkaments a day 4 days a week like you'll probably end up doing won't get you anywhere. You don't even have an idea what it's like to put in as much volume as you need to. Dedicate a bunch of hours of your day to poker like I don't. Maybe start from there and see how you feel after a while. Also, work on your English. And those apostrophes are just plain weird. Wanna get thrashed on play money HU by the way' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

QQs Post flop advice. I almost never open over 3x, but since it's a $3 buy in where I assume everyone and their mom will see a flop whatever you do I think it's correct to raise more this deep. I assume this is a rebuy tournament, are rebuys still available' I don't agree that we have to bet this flop. Depending on the player I might either check or bet, but readless and OOP I'd much rather check here for various reasons: - Pot control. We'd rather make this pot a small one right now because our hand isn't that strong to begin with, so there aren't all that many hands in his range that will pay us now that won't ... AK Advice Maybe bet flop just a little smaller, but the rest seems fine without reads. I wouldn't feel great betting the turn, one of them will have KQ or a set a decent amount of time, so checking to see what they do and try to pot control seems better. The bet seems more like a feeler bet than something that beats you and the call seems weak... I'm kinda torn between raising/shoving and calling. I think you get called by stuff like KJ/KT and maybe QJ or something if you shove. Obviously anything better than your hand is calling, but their ranges seem more weighted to things you beat... flatting and ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

was this the correct play He also has the nut flush draw with the TPTK in case you didn't notice. About the hand... it's definitely fine the way you played it, but if you're gonna raise the flop I'd do it just a little smaller, like 15, but it's a really small detail. I'm not sure this line is better than c/c'ing the flop and going from there to keep more worse hands in his range, it would also depend a lot on reads you might have on him. It seems totally fine to me like this though. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Were AA's played right here? Please help Do you have reads on him prior to this hand' Is he decent' Will he know your range is really tight here if you 3bet pre' Do you play with him often enough to force mixing up your play sometimes' I'm gonna assume he's just a random $10 player and you know nothing about him. More likely than not he'll be focused on his own hand and won't pay much attention to what your range is if you 3bet him, and as he's 3x'ing from UTG he is probably strong enough to mindlessly call 250 chips if you let him. Just start building the pot right here, it'll be so much easier to get his stack this way instead of ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Curious spot from $11, 25k on Stars Yeah, I shove. You can get calls with worse from a bad player and maybe even make a half decent one fold AT/AJ. If someone calls with an underpair it's cool with the dead money in there already. You'll get folds a lot, and you don't even need that much fold equity to make it profitable. gettin creative with TT I just fold pre. I would jam if he'd shown to be 3betting way more than a random player, but never call. But say we actually call and we get that flop, and assume his range is something like AK, JJ+, I was surprised but shoving is actually +EV according to the math. Which is funny because it's something that I wouldn't even consider doing while playing and just c/f without thinking twice (not that c/f'ing may not be optimal). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I butchered this hand, how should I have played it? He has one pot sized bet going to the flop, betting there would accomplish getting calls by everything better and getting folds by most worse hands, therefore I'm checking there 100% and seeing what he does on the turn. The turn is trickier and reads would help a lot, but from my experience players who are willing to call 3 bets like this OOP this shallow are putting at least a smallish block bet or maybe even putting you all in if he had an ace. He checks though, which means he'll have mostly mediocre pairs/draws/something that missed completely and rarely slowplaying something like a set. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:common preflop spot, opinions? So I decided to do the math because my life sucks and basically gave the blinds ranges that makes your hand essentially face up. It's a +cEV shove with up to about 5700. Add the fact that their ranges are not perfect and that you have a better stack to shove with than 5700 and you'll win about one small blind on average (which is better than no blind at all). Re:common preflop spot, opinions? Assuming it's a shove/fold spot, all you have to know to determine what your decision should be are the blinds' calling ranges. Then you just have to do some equations and you have your answer. Without doing any math, I'm shoving in this spot. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Scoop 8-L deal - WTF? I was just watching the FT and the last 5 players agreed to a deal. As the lobby says, any deal made must leave at least 2k for the winner. While writing the chip chop numbers HostFelix confirms this, saying they are still playing for 2k. Everyone agrees and a few minutes later after 2 players have already busted he comes back and says the numbers they agreed to are final and don't leave 2k aside from the prize pool. Then he says "You are just playing for PLBs.". Seriously, what the fuck''' Seems the host fucked up and forgot to take out 2k before running the numbers. No players ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:line check with aces here please? I think preflop is a little too big unless you know for sure he never folds when he limps. $2.25 would have been my sizing here, but that's okay. I'd bet more on the flop to charge his draws and build a bigger pot. There are $6.25 out there on a draw heavy board, a bet closer to 3/4 pot would have accomplished our goals better. $4.50-$5 is good. The turn completes the most obvious straight and some two pair type of hands. I think whether we should b/f or c/c depends a lot on our reads on him, which we don't have. Generalizing though, someone who goes around limp/calling huge ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:BadcardsAA Deal Talk In SCOOP 1-H I watched it from about 4 players down and badcards was clearly the best at the table and I don't blame him at all for asking that much more on the chop. I was actually pretty surprised he gave up 3k when they eventually chopped. He did trash talk a little and said some things that seemed a little douchey, but he definitely deserved it. Re:can i get away from this?looks like a set so bad I think folding is pretty standard here. AJ and QQ will almost never play this way and I don't think random people bluff here at all. Also why'd you bet so much on the turn' To set up a river shove' I'd rather bet like 750, it won't scare away one pair hands as easily as a 5/6 pot bet and you can still shove the river for a natural amount. EDIT: oh wait, I thought we were a little deeper for some reason. Another reason a smaller bet is better, makes it easier to fold when he comes over the top... I still think folding is okay here. Re:Thoughts on this spot What matters here is his range. From there it's easy to determine our own calling range. We need about 44.3% equity to call in order to be +cEV. You should know better then anyone else what his range really is, since you were the one playing with him, but I'll give it a shot knowing his OPR: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 59.202% 57.82% 01.39% 1354327688 32446332.00 { 22+, A2s+, K7s+, Q8s+, J9s+, T9s, 98s, A5o+, K9o+, QTo+, JTo } Hand 1: 40.798% 39.41% 01.39% 923211520 32446332.00 { K7s } Not sure how accurate that is, but assuming his true range doesn't deviate ... Re:HSMTT: I turn an overpair into a bluff (sort of) The line is definitely +EV, but I'm not sure it's optimal. It depends a lot on how often swd will c-bet missed hands against 2 players, one of them being a station that has position on him. Just kinda throwing this out there, but what if we donk bet' Having everyone check back on this flop won't really bring us any great turns. Swd will probably perceive our range as strong and won't get fancy with us and the button will still pay us off with worse hands. Given how bad he is you don't have to worry a lot about balancing your range either. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:HSMTT: Hero Fold At 100c FT Well, this is kinda funny. If you assign him a range of KK+, then KK should be a slightly clearer fold then AKs if we ignore the possibility of the original raiser getting involved: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 76.877% 76.36% 00.52% 31378896 213750.00 { KK+ } Hand 1: 23.123% 22.60% 00.52% 9288900 213750.00 { AKs } equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 77.382% 70.35% 07.03% 50594604 5056266.00 { KK+ } Hand 1: 22.618% 15.59% 07.03% 11209632 5056266.00 { KK } I'm not sure what the best play is, but I would have to be very very familiar with how he plays to be able to ...
