Looking For One Off Live Backing I'm wanting to play the £550 tourney on October 8 and will contribute £110 towards the buyin. I'm willing to give 70% to the backer if they're willing to commit £440 towards the buyin. If you're interested please PM so we can discuss this over AIM or MSN (whichever you prefer). I play online daily and usually play live once or twice a month. My OPR stats Posted in: Stakees Forum |

Annettes Laydown on WSOP Yup, lost out on a lot of value by not raising on the turn. If I have 44 in that spot and I get raised, I'd jam everytime expecting to get called by a flush or trips. It may not be a slowroll but it's definitly a nitroll. There's no way a fold can be considered in that situation. It reminds me of situation where I moved all in in the SB with A9 for 5bbs and a guy in the BB ponders for nearly 2 mins with AQ. He eventually calls me and knocks me out. Even though I felt like I was being slowrolled I never said a word like Annette did. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

What Tilts you the most? When someone says they outplayed/owned you during a hand. When it was nothing more than a cooler or a massively -Ev bluff. Recent example blinds 300/600 My stack 25k Opponents stack 10k I raise 1500 from mid-position with KJ, it get folded to my opponent who flat calls with AJ Flop comes 3 7 J rainbow Opponent bets 1000, I then raise to 4000. He then moves all in and I automatically call. He asks me if I have an overpair before the cards are turned overs. I then state "If you have me beat, you have me beat. I can't fold in this situation". He then started to act like a smart ass saying I ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

imdanuts killin sunday milly Right here Interesting how the 2 luckiest players at table get HU. Horrible 4-bet shove with A6 HU given the stacks, especially against a player like LOL_FAILURE. Also I agree with fact that Elvis is easilly the best player at the FT. I think it was daylight robbery that he finished third. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Set over set, can it be avoided? Right away you can eliminate 56 and potential flush draws, as you can be near certain that he would C-bet them. Min-raises pre-flop don't tend to mean anything if someone does it all the time. Set over set is so rare IMO that it's not worth worrying about unless you're incredible deep, which never applies in this situation. 88,77 are the only legitimate hands which beat you, 44 I think would C-bet here. More often than not you're gonna be up against 87 or an overpair, so just get it all in here. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Should I stay or should I goto the WSOP? I qualified for the Main Event via the Mega Satelite on stars, but I'm not so sure if I want to go anymore. I don't doubt my own poker abilites, I know how to play nearly all formats of NL Holdem and ajust my game against different level of opponents and styles. I wouldn't consider myself a great player by any stetch of the imagination, but I know I'm a solid and long term winning player, regardless of whether me or an opponent got lucky during a paticular hand, I always try to reflect on if I played the hand in the right way or if my opponent played it in a way that would cause him to lose ... Top set in Warm-up facing gross overshove - what to do???? I don't like the line you've taken throughout the hand. You've done little to define what your opponent has and you're not getting much value/protection out out of your hand either. To me, this is one of these situations where it's such a ridiculous overbet from your opponent on the river that it can't be anything other than the nuts i.e. AK. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:$50+5 MTT Looks like Micro is betting out some kind of strong draw, 56 (probably), 67 or flush with over cards. In this situation it's either fold or check-raise all in and pray for some kind of straight draw which you'll be in reasonable good shape against as 88 is stealing some outs. One thing I will say is leading out is pretty dumb against a player like Dantex, especially on a favourable board like this. Check-raising is the only way to slow these players down, assuming he is the player you describe. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Pokerstars Sunday 1/4 Million I've had two finishes 150 finishes and 4-5 min cashes, which is not bad considering I've played the tourney about 30-40 times, but the tourney is the biggest weekly crapshoot in poker. I've been badly donked so many times. Best finish so far is 129th. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Sunday Million Final Table Hand(Edit with Turn) Prime example where you should not slow play, as your hand is clearly vunerable. Villain has indicated that he has connected with the board in one way or another and he'll call a re-raise 90% of the time. There is too many potential scare cards for you and your opponent. I don't see how you can just flat call the river, either put the rest of your chips in and risk going broke or make the hero fold on the river. On the river in his position, I'm never betting that much with KQ,KJ,AK or AA. You have to ask yourself does he have a straight or full house' As it's probably Q9, ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Q's vs A's With 18bbs and an ante in play I would be open shoving. No way to avoid going broke here sadly. I don't like your 4x raise with a short stack as it shows too much strength, and allows people with AJ,AQ and mid PPs to potentially get away from their hand. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Please Help With Advice...Flush Draw..Jennifear Woah, you don't need to bet anything like that much on the flop. I'd only be betting 700-800. While it's obvious villain is a bad player, a good player is only likely to give you action if he has 22 or 77. Where as if you had bet less you could still get calls from inferior hands. Re:PokerTableRatings says 6-max easiest game 6 max is definitly more profitable to play compared compared to full ring, but it requires a bigger BR and volume. If your playing it in a STT format then it's important to have a solid HU game because that can make the difference between being a break even/small time winner to a big/regular winner. In a MTT format it's very easy to spot who the bad players are and continually exploit them, althought I will admit my most brutal beats and suck outs have come from 6 max MTTs.
