Re(1): The Sahara in Las Vegas
Ive stayed at the sahara a couple of times. Its a friendly hotel, not one of the bigger strip hotels yet it still wears me out walking to the breakfast buffet which is very good btw. Its the first stop on the monorail so gettin up and down the strip is easy. Has a few restaurants, nothing special and 24hr MaccyD's opposite which is handy. The poker room runs 3 $40 w$20r a night, the 7 Oclock gets a few players and they usually have some cash games going on. The only bad thing I cn say about the place is it shows its age and could probably do with a revamp. Good Luck!

Re(2): WPT Boot Camp
I attended Howard Lederers Fantasy camp back in 05. Quite a few people thought it was worth stumping up $4k, out of the 400 or so there only about 12 of us had won our entries through the FullTilt sats. The instruction was good, some of the pro's instructing were Howard Lederer, Annie Duke, Layne Flack, Eric Seidel, Chris Ferguson *cough*cough* Phil Gordon. Alot of the instruction was based around live play eg: FBI profiling which was probably the most informative seminar, this was Annie's seminar. Obviously the general poker stuff is good for online aswell.  Clonie Gowen was also there she ...

Re(1): Texas Holdem Rules. Player accidently exposes cards.
From vegas experience If a hand is exposed it is A) still live and B) the dealer would annouce to the table the hand or exposed card/s. I saw this happen a couple of times and this happened each time.... Only if the dealer exposed a card during the deal would it go into the muk and on rare occasion this happened to the last player a mis deal would be called as a player cant be dealt two  cards in a row.

Re(2): A good read about the skill of poker from Annie Duke site
Good article. You can also make a very good argument with golf, especially as it is an individual game and not a team game. If it were a 1 hole game then we would all beat tiger woods at some point or another, probably more than once. Does that make us a better player or just luckier on the particular hole played. Over 18 holes even the equivalent 10//20 player would never ever win. Just because in the very short term we could all win a pot from howard or annie doesn't mean even on that hand we are better players. It surprises me how for the most part politicians have to debate and take into ...

Re(2): Folding the nut flush on a non paired board
Lollllll the nuts is the nuts, its that simple. "The nuts" being the highest hand you can make on any given board, it has nothing to do with straights, flushes, straight flushes whatever. In some cases eg 2d7h8hkcAc top set would be the nuts because it makes the best possiblehand.

Re(4): I think I HAVe had enough with pokerstars
These sites really need to sort their rules out once and for all and have them written in clear concise English. Surely it cant be that hard!! Point 2 "Players are expected to chat in a way that would be appropriate in a face-to-face meeting" I've seen many times on the TV players shouting for cards when all in or in bad shape. Point 3 of the card room rules refers to "Spamming" How can requesting a card be construed as the same thing as advertising a website or private game. And finally not to be trivial but point 4 "Players may not type words, characters or phrases into chat" "T" is a ...

Re(5): Monitor Question
The bigger resolution a monitor can handle the more physical information u can fit on the screen.. If you have a resolution of 1024 x 768 you cant fit that much on so when multi tabling you end up with overlapping tables, you probably also spend some time scrolling programs such as internet explorer because the page cant fit on the screen. With some monitors, example the mentioned dell at its max resolution u can you can fit 4 poker tables on the screen with out any overlap. The 24'' dell with a max resolution of 1920 x 1200 even leaves space at the side for msn. Hope this explains the reason ...

UB deposit options.
Thanks to everyone at UB for all the great changes!! I quit UB some time ago and would love to come back but cannot use my chosen method of deposit. As a UK player I would prefer to deposit using switch/maestro debit card but this is not an option as it is on ALL the other major sites. I'm sure it used to be about 18mths ago but i'm probably wrong. If you could start accepting deposits from this method I will most certainly be making a deposit. Thanks Jim.

"You think Annie would come in and promote FullTilt'..lol" lol lol I was at this years camp and I remember she wouldn't sign this guys shirt cause it was FTP, she was especially addamant on this as she gave this guy $100 for wearing a UB shirt earlier in the day. Annies seminar was pretty cool though, she mainly discussed tells and reading body language.

Re(2): PacificPoker What a Joke tin pot site!!! Win tourney and still awaiting award....
I too have played here for a very long time and only continue to play here because of the profit it has earned me, there are no other benefits to this site, no real overlays, no multi tabling an eternity to cash out I could go on! As for collusion im sure I would have noticed and as I have already stated Pacific support did admit to having a problem with awards last night. Time zones should not be a problem, are based in Gibraltar and i'm in the UK. As for the not playing bit, personally I think this is ridiculous but as you can see from their email i'm not making it up! As yet still no ...

PacificPoker What a Joke tin pot site!!! Win tourney and still awaiting award....
Yesterday evenings 15k Daily I busted out in 26th for $105 and I am still waiting for the award to be credited. Anyone else cash in this tourney and have a problem' I spoke to live support who couldn't help telling me the system was running smoothly and I should email support@ for further investigation which I did. After 12hrs with no response I called them to find out what was happening, the support person found my email and told me they did have a problem with some accounts not being credited and it should be sorted within the next few hours. In the meantime please log out and stay logged ...

Re(9): TURNING CARDS FACE UP???
This happened on a vegas tournament table I was playin... The short stack moved all in for a bout 600 and then threw down his hole cards (A4) with 5 or so people still to act, in this case according to the TD the cards are still live and people can act based on the infomation infront of them. The only situation ive ever known to be called a bum deal was when the dealer exposed one of the blinds cards and because of the cards dealt it would mean he would have had to take two cards in a row which is not allowed as normally if the dealer exposes a card it is shown to the table then mucked and ...

Re(5): Is Poker a Sport? SI says no
Your totally missing the luck point. Agreed you may have a 10% chance of beating a prem heads up player on one lucky hit and run hand but play them every day for a period of time and you will lose every day. I'm sure no one would expect to beat tiger woods at a round of 18 but thats not to say you couldn't "luckily" hole in one a par 3 therefor beating him at that hole.

Re(4): Is Poker a Sport? SI says no
sport • noun 1 an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others. 2 informal a person who behaves in a good or specified way in response to teasing, defeat, etc. 3 success or pleasure derived from an activity such as hunting. Going from the Oxford Dictionary Presses definition of "sport" (probably the most accurate)i'd say poker was most definitly a sport. Having said that I was at a seminar with a fair few pro's in attendance. Howard Lederer refered to the game of poker as "Our Sport". Andy Bloch on the other hand stated ...

Re(2): Prima100KG
Because its wak maybe' Why bother with the 100$ buyin then the 50$ rebuy hour all in fest when practically all the other sites have much better value sunday tourneys. Bodogs(100k) 45k weekly overlay, pacifics(100k) 30k overlay both 100$ buy in' Personally I'd rather deal with the massive fields on stars or party for a slice of 500k for 200$ than play prima's 100k.

Re(3): Whose pot is it?
In my experience it is always the players responsibility to both flag any errors made by but not noticed by the dealer as it is also a players responsibility to protect their own cards at all times. Once the hand it over and the cards are riffled the next hand has already started and therefor it is too late too do anything. All i can say is if I were on the table the dealer wouldn't have had chance to push the chips in the wrong direction in the first place.
