live casino 1-2nl hand Maybe you should work on your sarcasm so people don't interpret it as your opinion. It was a very risky/high variance play, I don't understand the sarcasm here. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

AJ 3bet/call shove fold? I doubt any semi-competent player will 4-bet shove lighter than they would call a shove in this spot with stack sizes. Hero 3-bets to 29k and the pot is 54k, villain shoves and pot is 126k. Hero has to call 56k to win 126k which is 2.25 to 1 pot odds. Hero needs roughly 31 percent equity. If I was Villain and wanted to continue with the bottom of my range I would flat his 3-bet close my eyes and shove the flop. This way you give yourself a chance to win the pot without a showdown. I'm a spewy jackass Did you read the HH' Did you see what the effective stack is' What hands is he flatting with and then folding to a c-bet' The only decent advice in your post was to have a plan if villain flats. I assume he didn't think villain would flat, otherwise I hope he wouldn't 3-bet 24o. If they were deeper and op thought villain would flat his 3-bet and fold a lot of flops then its ok but in this case he definitely wants a hand with more equity. I don't think a c-bet works as played so I would check it down. It seems really bad to just give up after 3-betting but the stacks are so short and villains ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I'm a spewy jackass I think the only time your cards don't matter on a re-steal is if you opponent is going to 4-bet or fold. If you are up against an opponent who will flat your 3-bet oop like villian you want to have a hand with more equity vs his range or a hand like A2 that will reduce his AK, AQ combo's by 25%. Did you ever put him on a range of hands' His range seems pretty narrow when he puts in %20 percent of his 24 bb stack oop. I think you were too concerned about what he thought you had and not about what his actual range was. I think his range is very strong in this spot unless he is very bad and ... timmybwee How does a micro grinder ship 145k and then go right back to playing the same tourneys as before. You would think the guy would atleast play a $55 or $109 freezeout. Posted in: Poker Community |

Line check with ak vs villians range No reads on either player, kerg had only been dealt 5 hands and this was the first one he played. Aresok was 33/20 over 15 hands he won a few pots with out showdown and another with kk to get to $37 dollars. I didn't see any of the hands he was involved in until after the hand we played so I didn't have any good info on him. Re:FPP+Tournament Ticket+unregistering?? I don't think I have ever won a ticket before. I was hoping I could get a Sunday 500 ticket with fpp's then unregister and get tournament dollars. Pokerstars should sell tournament dollars in their fpp store. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Flight to PCA CANCELLED The flight that I was supposed to take tonight got cancelled because the plane I was supposed to be on was coming from the the New Jersey airport. Anyway now I'm not going to be able to get into Nassau Until an hour after I'm supposed to start on day 1A. Pretty lame. Has anyone else had their PCA travel plans screwed up due to the Newark airport Evacuation' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Antonio's laydown of JJ first class What was Antonio thinking when Moon check raised him with AQ on a Q44 flop' Is Moon actually capable of check raising him with a hand that he will fold to a reraise' I just saw it the other day and Antonio's reraise seemed terrible to me. I thought an experienced pro like Antonio would know better than make a play like that against a player that is only playing his cards. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:The Most Ridiculous Poker Hands in Movie History How about when mike and teddy kgb play heads up at the end of the movie rounders. They both buy in for 10k and the blinds are 25/50. The very first hand mike gets dealt pocket kings and makes it 1k or 20x the bb or a tenth of his stack. What does teddy kgb do' He comes over that top for 5k or half his stack. Then mike moves all-in and teddy folds with 3 to 1 odds. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:nasty runner runner's in 3 straight tournies obviously they were coin flips pre-flop but post flop I was a huge favorite in all three and lost to runner runner. I have lost 3 or more coin flips in a row many times but I usually dont flop a set and become a 20+ to 1 favorite then lose to runner runner. especially in two tournaments simultaneously Posted in: Bad Beats |

Good or Bad play??? I was in a $35 dollar buy-in live tournament yesterday when this hand happened. We were nine handed and I was one off the button. I was unfamiliar with all the players at the table except the two players to the left of me that started the tourney at the same table as me. The player under the gun an unknown raised 2.5 times the bb to 500. The next four players folded to me and I looked down at QQ. The player under the gun and I were basically even in chips both with about 6-7k. I originally put the guy on a big hand before I even looked at my cards. I thought his pre-flop raise was an action ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
