Re(1): I thought it wasnt illegal.....
All I learn when I read something like this is that the fed simply thinks they can say whatever they want about anything without justification. Until there's actually some sort of written law or court precedent that shows that under federal law, an individual can be prosecuted simply for participating in a poker game on an offshore online site, I'm happy to keep "breaking" this law that doesn't actually exist. Notice that in this article, there's no mention of an actual law that makes it illegal. They just say, "yeah, it's illegal. Don't do it."

Re(6): p5s podcast.
Well....that and his open bitter hatred of the entire female gender, as well as pretty much anyone who's not as good as him at poker and a lot of people who are more accomplished than he is... He may be fun, witty, and whatever towards his friends. Towards everyone else, he's terrible. I don't really know what the point is in defending someone who's not a victim of circumstance--this guy has every opportunity to be loved. He's a fantastic poker player, he's got money, he's articulate, he's smart. If he was a pleasant guy to everyone, no one would have a reason not to like him. A lot of us ...

Re(1): Stupid things that donks do (hate thread)
The thing I hate the most about bad players is how they constantly make threads on forums about other people being "donks." I guess I should be glad they're not spending that time trying to figure out how to beat those people.

Re(1): EASY solution to the rankings problems
Wow, that is easy. How come no one's thought of using ROI for rankings' You should get some smart people to tell these guys how to make a rankings system....some people that will spend more time thinking about it than the P5s guys, since they obviously just threw it together while most people here would put in a lot more time and effort.

Re(3): Lets Forgive and Move On!
"Once a cheater, always a cheater" So you think we should get rid of the prison system entirely then and just give anyone who commits a crime the death penalty' Afterall, according to your BRILLIANT WISDOM, there is no chance anyone could ever be rehabilitated. So tell me, is what you're saying this: If someone does something wrong, they can NEVER BE FORGIVEN and moreover, they can NEVER REGRET WHAT THEY DID OR CHANGE INTO A PERSON WHO WOULD NOT DO SUCH A THING. No one is the moral authority in the world, and I believe "forgiveness is divine" was said by a man much wiser than most of us. ...

Re(3): Why Party Poker made the right and the wrong decision
What bothers me is your Martha Burke attitude about this whole thing. Martha Burke was horribly wrong to push Tiger Woods into the spotlight on the issue of Augusta National's policy on only allowing male members. He doesn't have to make his opinion public about that if he doesn't want to, and to try and bully him into it was wrong---it's just using someone else to further your own cause. The same applies here. Just because top players want to stay out of the fray doesn't mean they don't have an opinion on the issue. They may just not like getting involved in the controversy and being ...

Re(4): Explain how JJ was unethical
I definitely agree with steve. It's like saying that people who weren't directly affected shouldn't care about what the Enron guys were doing. Or saying that people in the US shouldn't care that people in other countries are victims of government sponsored rape and torture. JUST BECAUSE YOU AREN'T THE VICTIM DOESN'T MEAN IT ISN'T YOUR CONCERN. Sheesh, let's stop with the whole "what do you care'" mentality. It's so stupid, and it's been shown time and time again to be faulty, both in terms of logic and long run practicality. Was it ok in 1960 for all of those New Yorkers to watch from their ...

First off, this was never an honest dialogue except at the very beginning. You realized that people weren't going to accept your chat that you originally thought would be accepted, so you crafted a reason in your mind after the fact that somehow makes being a total asshole at the table profitable. You went so far as to claim you had empirical evidence, which is just a complete load of BS. Prove it to us that this chat makes you profitable; otherwise quit telling everyone they're idiots, when your argument is standing on shaky ground. Here's your first post on pocket5s: You ...

Well, that's not really fair. The case made the public spotlight because her family chose to publicize it. If they would feel bad about people talking about what happened, then they would have chosen to keep it a private matter and only deal with the authorities, not the press. People are going to talk about what happened---as long as they aren't blaming Natalie or her family for it or denying the awful nature of the crime, I don't see what the problem is with them talking. It's obviously not "none of our business," or we wouldn't know about it to begin.

"I would never reveal my contract with Weapon X, in a public forum. I find it to be appauling Pokerator stooped to a kindergarten level." Are you not shocked and appalled then that Weapon X made a post containing personal information about pokerator' Sorry, but this post is the most one-sided bs I've ever seen. You like Weapon X and have gotten something out of his coaching, which is fine, but does that entitle him to participate in unethical practices and "stoop to the kindergarten level" without having people come down harshly on him' "If your a dissenter, have fun losing your money to ...

I don't see how you can claim to be a decent person and yet be willing to cast such harsh judgement upon a whole GROUP of people.....many thousands of people at that. There are many Americans who kill, steal, rape, and even worse.....does that mean that all Americans deserved what happened on 9/11' No, most of us definitely didn't, and i'd argue that no one deserved it, no matter what sins they have in their past or present. It's not our place as human beings to say who deserves help and who does not, or to say who deserves to have their basic needs fulfilled and who does not. It's our duty ...

Re(7): Im sorry Supermoves, I have to call you out.....
I think a lot of people get you, super. They just don't agree. You have to recognize that your ideas on this are pretty radical..... Here's one interesting thing I find about your posts on these subjects: you tend to use the "Every circumstance in your life is a result of your own actions" philosophy for most of your arguments. This implies that people should be constantly striving for self-improvement, to improve their own circumstances and make their lives the best they can be. That said, you then proceed to DISCLAIM your own remarks in the N.O. thread by saying that you're "kind of a ...
