Family/friends against my decision to not do a 9-to-5: How do I make them understand?
Didn't read the walls of text that other people said but I've got this. Every time anyone doesn't believe in me, or denounces me for what I do, or says limiting pessimistic thoughts about my career choice it inspires me that much more to succeed. Don't do it for anyone else, do it for yourself. Because at the end of the day you are the only person you should be trying to satisfy. Fuck the haters.

Running bad ?
It's easily possible in MTT's to run bad for a year or two. Especially when one bad beat can hit you for like 20k or more. Or losing a few 10k coinflips here and there, sprinkled in. In cash it doesn't seem as likely but you are playing way less hands so it is certainly possible.

Looks like you played fine. I probably would c/c the river because you won't be getting called by worse than maybe a good ten, seems like his range is a lot wider than that. Also, even though he is passive, he could try a raise here on the river to try and take down a monster pot, and you really don't wanna deal with that.

Whats your poker environment like?
I play on a stepping stone turned chair on a round table that barely fits my laptop let alone monitor. I live in a motel on the beach, and while I'm playing there are speed pushers, meth heads and lady boys running rampant in my complex.

Why the fuck are you laughing at him and calling him a dick because he refused a deal' Maybe he wanted to play for the win and locking up the deal amount wasn't significant to him.. Also, ministerborg didn't really wanna deal and he wanted more too so it definitely wasn't happening. The tourney has a great structure and he made it that far so he is obv confident with his game... Oh and you laugh at him but he got it in QQ < AK for the chiplead. So he set himself up to make way more than the deal and got it in ahead, not much more you can do. Anyone else experienced this HEM error?
Another problem for me is that sometimes when I switch tables the HUD will not change and I will be stuck with the previous tables players even though all my others are working fine and still importing hands. Only fix I have found is to restart the program which is obviously a hassle during a session.

First of all he never has AJ here ever, like 0% chance. AQ very unlikely. You can get it in here if you want to gamble, I can see merits for doing so but you can't expect to be ahead very often, if ever.

Tourists cannot buy weed from shops in Amsterdam anymore
This may or may not be true. I was told that as a tourist you need to get a special card to be able to purchase weed at shops and smoke freely... I think the cards will be easy to get although they might be expensive. Shouldn't be too big of an issue.
