Re(6): RON PAUL PWNS
Environmentalism is the new communism, just replace class equality with environmental neutrality as a reason to justify total government. Ron Paul is rightfully skeptical of both environmentalists claims and agenda.

Re(1): RON PAUL PWNS
Ron Paul raises more than $3 Million in 18 hours The only U.S. presidential candidate openly opposed to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), has raised more than $3 Million dollars in just 18 hours, this November 5th. And the day isn't over yet.

Re(2): mathmatical odds of KK running into AA
Actually the odds are: (1/25)^3, or 1 in 15,625. Why' Because you're not saying these 4 hands where someone had KK, what are the odds AA is also out there; you're saying KK went up against AA once (as a given), what are the odds the next 3 times someone has KK there is again AA. Also, people tend to exagerate trends. If KK goes up against AA four times, they assume it happened four times in a row (each time someone had KK). They'll ignore a couple hands in the middle of that trend where KK was seen but didn't face AA, or they might not even know (KK not called nor shown). Of course AA v KK ...

Re(1): RNG vs Real life dealing
You can make the arguments that real-life shuffling is not truly random, and you will partially right. There are non-random artifacts, especially with manual dealer shuffling. Not certain how good automatic shuffle machines are, but they are probably better. You can also make the argument that RNG shuffling cannot produce the same number of outcomes as real-life shuffling, and you will also be partially right. A 32-bit RNG can only produce 2^32 possible decks, a 64-bit RNG can only produce 2^64 random decks, both are order of magnitudes short of 52! (real number of possible decks). RNG ...

Re(3): Absolute Poker's Offical Statement
The word consultant keeps coming up because that is likely his "legal" relationship (not actual relationship), given he is a foreigner employed in a foreign country by an operation that uses numerous shell companies. Absolute Entertainment S.A. may not have any employees at all.

Re(1): The most disconcerting aspect of the AP scandal that has not been addressed (NAT?, computer guys?)
BTW, I have the same concern (how the hole cards were exposed exactly), which I had posted in another thread. Attention Chris Savage and Adam Small Your inside updates from Absolute Poker have been great. (PS. Chris, are you here in Costa Rica too') However, I think there is one critical piece of information that must come out. That is, how *exactly* AP#2 was able to see the hole cards of other players. I mean exactly, in technical detail. I'm not sure how technical Adam Small is. If you need someone with a more technical skillset to come to Absolute Poker's office, I also live and work ...

Re(1): The most disconcerting aspect of the AP scandal that has not been addressed (NAT?, computer guys?)
Ok, here is why it should be impossible to gain access to someone else's hole cards, provided a poker system is designed correctly. The deck of cards is shuffled and only the hole cards each player is dealt is sent to each player's poker client. No player can see (even by disassembling the poker client and/or breaking the poker client protocol) the other player's cards, because they were never sent. The poker cards are sent over SSL/TLS encryption, so not even someone monitoring your Internet connection can see your cards. (Well, maybe the NSA if you believe in conspiracy theories). Now, ...

Re(2): Absolute Poker's Offical Statement
Definitely anyone who as at POTRIPPER's table for a significant number of hands should get their buy-in refunded, as they stood no chance what-so-ever.

Re(1): Same hole cards on 2 tables
The odds of getting the same hole cards (ignoring suit) on two tables at the same time is about 1 in 84. Considering a hand on one table will typicall overlap two hands on the other, or vice versus, the odds become 1 in 42. i.e. it is expected to happen with relative frequency.

Posted here: consultant devised a sophisticated scheme to manipulate internal systems to access third-party computers and accounts to view hole cards of other customers during play without their knowledge.Absolute Poker just admits here that there were "third-party computers and accounts" able to "view hole cards of other customers during play". They did not claim this "high-ranking" employee created the system to view hole cards, only that he "manipulate[d] internal systems to access" such systems. That is completely inexcusable. There is no ...

Re(1): Players' List of Demands (AP scandal)
1. There shouldn't be any "superuser" accounts, period. There is no reason for such an account to exist. You wouldn't ever allow a physical poker room manager or dealer to be able to see your hole cards, the online equivalent shouldn't exist either. All fraud and collusion detection can be done on data *after* the hand is completed. This is discussed here: 2. Fine 3. All poker sites automation to detect irregular betting patterns, to detect fraud, collusion and chip dumping. POTRIPPER's play ought to be raised red flags all over the place. If it didn't, then ...

Great update and great work. I hope they move away from their whitewash rogue programmer theory. BTW, a little late to the party, but this page is a good place to send information about the scandal to people who aren't going to wade through the forums of P5s and 2+2.
