who thinks its ridiculous that its now may '13 and US folks still cant get back on PS I recommend everyone follow Rich Muny's lead in the daily action plans he posts here on the site. If you emailed your Rep and said something like "GIMME BACK STARS IDIOT LOL" it's not going to have much effect. Is this how Phil Ivey won at the UK casino - hope not! Point taken, and I think you guys are right upon thinking about this more... It is the casino's responsibility to deal with their own game security issues, as they are the ones hosting the game. It's not the same as a player vs. player issue in poker where a 3rd party (such as casino or gaming site) is responsible for hosting and securing the game. I have quite a bit less sympathy for Ivey than I think some others do who are posting on this - we're still essentially talking about a grift. ** 2013 Fantasy Baseball Extravaganza (Info & Sign-Up) ** Cool. Getting tix is super easy. The trick though is to go on stubhub or whatever early the morning of the game or late the night before. Day of the game sometime in the morning, scalpers buy up (or remove their own listings for) basically all the best tix on secondary market sites and then resell for $10-15 more per ticket at the stadium. I learned this through some trial and error last season...went to about 10 games last year and made some mistakes along the way that cost me a little extra. Don't Listen to Phil Hellmuth I read this back around 2003 or 2004, I'm sure it was one of the first 2 or 3 books on poker I read. I think it's extremely elementary and wouldn't help anyone much on its own in today's games. What I will say positive is that it's a good starter book for someone who's either a complete beginner or who has only played in home games and never been to a real poker game against mostly strangers and with a real amount of money on the line. P5's face lift? Right, a lot of people disregard forum options and a lot use them. I'm a fan of the 100 post per page view on some forums, and we wanted to have that on P5s when we moved the forums to vBulletin in 2010. Since that site rebuild, the company has completely changed ownership. None of the people who were principally involved in that project are still with the company, so I can't say for sure why the options didn't get put in. I believe, however, that the issue was with the custom forum code, and that it was decided to always have 30 posts per page would be the best option. Anyway, we'll ... Posted in: Off Topic |
