Lock Poker purchase of the Cake Poker Network
I can't see this process as anything but bad for players. Further fractionalizing the US market is not good for US players who play to make a profit. Fields will be smaller. Personally, the most players I've ever seen on Lock at one time was 13K. I've read that Lock is ~ 40% of the Merge volume which means they will drop to having peak players of maybe 6K or 7K (depending on how many players Cake brings to the table tho I don't think it's significant). To put these numbers in perspective, I recall FT used to get about 100K players peak and Stars was about 250K players peak. Just seems ...

Lame "interview" with ridiculous questions. Obv this was a quasi-response to Negreanu's video blog and it's popularity. I just wish we had some damn answers already about whether we'll ever see any of our money or not. Seriously, this due diligence process GBT is doing is taking a long time. By the time the deal goes through (IF it goes through) there won't be any value left in full tilt.

Sounds about right. I think he's right that whatever money the govt currently has will eventually be turned over to us. If I get back 20% of my money sometime in 2013 I expect that's about as good as it can get. So hope those greedy, thieving fucks get whats coming to 'em. Nobody's hands are clean in this, nobody's.

Agreed. He had a bigger picture in mind. He wasn't just conning one person. Much in the same way a ponzi schemer must make some payments to initial investors in order to keep new people investing. Another possibility is, he may not even think he's conning people. He may even have himself convinced of all these things and that's why it's so easy for the people he took advantage of to believe him.

Merge and Bovada (Bodog) Deposits & Cashouts
Lock cashier emailed me out of the blue this morning stating that my withdrawal (which has been pending since 1/1/12, originally requested check) has been received as a Western Union request and is being reviewed and I'll receive an email when it's been processed. This wasn't what I was expecting but I guess it's fine as long as they don't rape me on a fee. Does anyone know what they're going to charge me to process this withdrawal now'

Its pretty much tax season
I read that too. I just did my taxes yesterday and I did NOT claim the money in my FT/UB accounts. If I get that money back this year I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do with it on next year's taxes as I don't play poker for a living anymore. I'm just planning on crossing those bridges when they come.

So I made my first withdrawal from Lock on 1/1/12 and it's still pending and all but my question is about the $15.00 check fee. They stated to me in an email BEFORE I withdrew that they would refund the $15.00 fee once a month. So I withdrew and they didn't refund the $15.00. So I emailed them and they stated I would get the $15.00 when the check was approved. I stated that wasn't what I was told and then they went ahead and put the $15.00 back in my account that day. Except it was put in as a bonus. My cashier window states I can't withdraw the $15.00 and in yet another email I'm now ...

Uh where can I find this job' Idk what world you live in but I'd pretty much kill to find a job that pays $20/hr right now. Black Friday was devastating to me as it obv was to so many. And having 70% of my money on FT and UB made things even worse. But it has turned out to be something of a blessing. I work a 9 to 5 job now paying $10.50/hr and I pretty much hate the work itself (collections) but it turns out I love the routine. I guess it took BF for me to fully realize that I'm the kind of person who thrives on structure. I've lost a significant amount of weight since BF as I workout ...
