Just to let you know I would not place ace rag unsuited and if I do play ace rag suited it is only to see if I hit the nut flush draw/2 pair. But I digress, thanks everyone again for your responses.

Thanks for everyones input. I was definitely playing ace rag suited incorrectly. I used to limp with it whenever the pot wasn't raised just to see if i'd flop the nut flush draw or 2 pair/trips. I definitely need to think more about table/tourney position before considering playing this hand. Thanks for sealing up this leak.

Ace rag suited
Does everyone limp in with ace rag suited and fold when they don't flop 2 pair or better or a flush draw' Is it +EV to play ace rag suited in that way' Should I even play ace rag suited at all' I'm trying to figure out if this is a leak in my game. Btw, I only limp in with this hand when I have about 30 bbs or better. Should just fold that hand at a 9 handed table and save the bb'

You have to be tighter for longer in the beginning and you have to loosen up slower in the end. Other than that the 45 mans are a microcosm of the 180 mans

6 max is more exciting because you play more and a larger range of hands and also easier to get to know the table better which allows you to play better if you use it to your advantage

I disagree, he only has 5.5 big blinds left. He has to do something if he's playing for first. If he folded he might not pick up a better hand. It was just unlucky that he ran into a bigger pocket pair. I'm sure he would have been happy to take a flip vs a non-pocket pair. Bad luck I think, gg, better luck next time.

I agree with Bus, calling a large raise like that with AQ is a gamble and you're not going in as a favorite unless the guy is completely useless. So with no info on the guy I think you have to fold.
