Re(1): Question on friends playing from my IP ? Whenever I have someone over with laptop in hand we just play HU SNGs since it's easier and faster than shuffling cards. Same tourney should be fine, but I wouldnt sit at the same cash table or in the same SNG unless it was HU. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): PLAYING IN CALIFORNIA Personally, I'd fly into John Wayne (santa ana) and rent a car. If you want to stay by the beach there's a best western right on PCH at prospect. You're right across the street from the beach. When it gets dark you can head up to Hawaiian Gardens (closest), bike, hustler, commerce, etc. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Poker Traker ? People will tell you how much better PT is than poker office, all I know is for sites like stars, party, and full tilt poker office is 1000x easier. I have both, but have never bothered setting up PT. Plus, office has a built in HUD. If you get to a point that you need 50 different stats up on your HUD than maybe PT is better for you. Re(1): What ARE big bets? Big bet is just that, the bet on turn/river. Maybe they were referring to nl where when someone says thay made 2bb/100 they are generally referring to poker tracker, or ptbb/100 which is equal to 2xbig blind. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Morongo - Cabazon, CA Havent played at Morongo, but it seems pretty standard for the limit. Hawaiian Gardens is the closest for me and the $100nl with $2 & $3 blinds, is ridiculous. $15-$20 avg opening raise which of course will be called by at least 4 people. Anyone who thinks online is rigged hasnt played the micro limits live. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): MBA Presentation FWIW, I dont think in 10 minutes you are going to change anyones perception. What you may be able to do though is get people to agree that despite what they think about gambling in general, laws that decrease cival liberties... That's just an example but I think at the end of the presentation you can get everyone to agree that the law is bad. The downside to an "informational" type presentation is that although there is a clear objective, you're never sure if you've accomplished it or not. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Poker Office vs Poker Tracker/ PAHud I have both, poker office is def easier, real plug and play. Not as many stats or as flexible as PT, but for the average user I'd say PO all the way as long as you're nopt playing on UB. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Cardrunners.com question ^^^^ There's not a single 50/100nl vid on the site. In fact most games are geared towards low to medium stakes. I think there are a few 10/25 vids, but that's rare. Nothing against any site but to compare Rizen cash games to even that of the guest pros is absurd. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Poker income & mortgage approval???? If you make regular deposits into your bank account, income can be verified by averaging out your deposits over 6 - 12 months. Generally, pricing off 12 months bank statements is about the same as going full doc. If you're not depositing your money into the bank on a regular basis you can go stated. Stated income with verified employment (no verified income) is anywhere from 50 to 75 bps higher than full doc. Having 3+ months worth of mortgage payments saved somewhere (401(k), IRA, savings, checking, etc) will help with the pricing. Honestly, income is not that big of a deal in getting you ... Re(1): Training sites? I read a great article and I dont know if it was on here or in Bluff, but it said something to the effect that in order to win a MTT you need to win 1 all in as a 4:1 dog and 2 coinflips for all your chips. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
