Re(3): #@)*#@*&(*#@(*#@ 12 handed in stars $100 I ended up finishing third, pretty dissapointing considering I sucked out there and also had another big suckout in that tournament with 44 > QQ ai pf for half my stack at one point. I was a chipleader in it for a few different points, so I'm sorta mad at myself for not winning. I was also a massive chipleader for a good portion of the final few hours of the $215 warmup, but blew up a little and ran bad to finish 11/2104, so sick. Anyways, I'm sure we'll be seeing more of each other as I've been getting into the big stars sunday tourneys lately. Good luck (although you can keep running ... Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re(2): Play a $55+5 turbo SNG with me (long and informative, buckle your seatbelts) OP your logic is so horrible on so many of these hands. You assume so much which is most definitely not true. I'd explain more in detail but your last post made my head hurt. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Menlo is ill " I'm not gonna go into detail about why I made this call cuz I dont really feel like it. But to the guy who is saying this call is "-ev over the long run" I am not concerned with the long run, I am concerned with this hand right now, the only thing that matter is whether or not he has it this time." Wow, do you realize how retarded that logic is' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Internet Gambling Prohibition Update 97% of the people posting in this thread are clueless. The bill was widely expected to pass through the house very easily, but will face a much harder time getting through the Senate. It's still enough of a scare to call your senator, but I wouldn't be getting all worked up about it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): questions about cashgames Assuming you win at a pretty reasonable rate of 7-8ptbbs/100 you should average about $8/100 and you should be getting in roughly 400 hands an hour (maybe a little less) 4 tabling that comes up to about $30/hr, which is better than your average job, and as one poster said join if you are serious about cash games. I would also make the transition to 6 max if you haven't already done so. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): CardRunners.com announces new teacher: ActionJeff Cardrunners pros: Green Plastic: Top two or three NL cash game players on the net. Muddywater: Very consistent 5/10 10/25 player and also plenty of MTT success. Filthy: Dominates the 10/20 PP game daily. Stinger: Up and coming player who has worked his way up to being one of the best MTT/SNG players on the net, and also is a great cash game player. BoostedJ: One of the best relatively unknown players on the net, routinely cleans up the 5/10 and 10/20 PP 6 max games and more recently the 10/25 - 25/50 game on UB. Re(2): Another Bankroll Building Question When I first started out I was grinding the $5 dollar SNGs on PokerStars with a $60 bankroll. The process was painfully slow to me and I also was sick of Pstars so I moved my roll to UB. I played a lot of the 2-3 table SNGs and had a couple of nice cashes. Then I started focusing on 10NL-25NL and was a breakeven player at those limits, making a slight profit. With my roll somewhere near $500 I began focusing on MTT's. I had never cashed in an MTT to that point, but my first ever cash was a win. It was a $5 buyin with nearly 550 entrants, and I won $670 dollars. It was a big score. After about ... Re(3): High Stakes Poker People need to remember that for a lot of these pros this is a relatively low stake "high stakes" cash game. Daniel was making a lot of loose calls preflop because the stakes were not as high as he was used to. He played pretty well I'd say, he sucked out a few times to get back to near break-even but he also did get sucked out on several times to even be stuck. Farha hit at least one flush on DN when they money went in, Greenstein rivered a higher flush when Negreanu flopped the K high flush for a big pot, then Negreanu lost that ugly hand vs Mimi where he flopped a straight and Mimi turned ... Re(8): Raymer vs Jeff..... Very interesting hand, I don't really like the way Raymer played the hand since it looks pretty obvious that he is making a play on Jeff. He calls a small raise and then pushes over a reraise' What does his hand range look like to you' We know that AK reraises preflop, especially given Raymer's aggressive nature, and a hand like AT-AJ would never push back all in since Raymer knows there is a good chance Jeff has a bigger ace and may call, and he would be a severe dog as opposed to being a coinflip with a small pair. The problem with Raymer's play is that everybody has a good idea of what he ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Early SitnGo $5 buy-in - AK There are times to make a continuation bet into two other players, and that's with a raggedy rainbow flop in position when checked to. This Q98 flop is an awful flop to make a stab at this pot, especially so very early on. A 4-5xbb raise is fine IMO. If you make a huge raise with AK you really have to hit the flop to continue, or make a very risky continuation bet and you are risking a ton of chips this way. I like the way you played it. Session of Cold Decks - Comments Appreciated. I'm feeling pretty sick right now, it was another one of those sessions where nothing goes right and everybody is outflopping me when I hit something. Is this just variance or what' Hand 1: Standard AQ raise, called in two spots. Flopped top pair good kicker, but I checked behind on the turn because I don't see too many hands I beat calling, and I also checked for pot-control reasons. He made an awful preflop call and an even worse call on the flop. I guess I gave him a free card to draw out but I really didn't want to play a big pot with just a pair and couldn't stand a raise. HU Poker Championship It seems like every hand on Cardplayer goes something like this: "So and so raises to 2,000, player B reraises all in, so and so calls. Player B showed A5 and so and so shows 33. The flop is 3xx and player B is on the brink of elimination. So and so's hand holds up and he advances to the next round." It just seems like a total crapshoot once the blinds get up there. People are just moving in with anything decent and people are calling with anything reasonable and whoever ends up getting lucky wins. 15 minute blind levels clearly are not enough. Am I alone in thinking this after reading ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Can you guys comment on this - any UB ppl LOL, some people make me laugh. Flip a coin ten times in a row, what are the odds that they all come up tails' One in a thousand or so' How many hands are dealt on UB every day' Obviously some very improbable things will happen over several thousand hands. UB is not "rigged" and people who seriously believe it is are probably blaming the software on them being a losing player, or at the least a very inconsistent player. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Cardrunners Q I've been a member for a few months, and the videos are great. They update with a new video three times a week. Videos range from 30 minutes to an hour. The forum is the best poker forum on the internet IMHO, and the people I have met through CR are great people, and I have learned as much from the other members as I have from the instructors. I actually feel like I'm ripping them off because it's such a great deal and it's so cheap. I would reccommend CR to any serious player. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
