Re:AA, AA, AA LOL this can't be serious. Read Akgirl's posts in the last month, and maybe you'll realize who's posting using her account. I thought it was clear by now, but if I say it out loud her account loses it's posting capabilities as well. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO8 against a LAG Doc: I didn't say playing for half the pot is good, lol. What I did say is that when we flop 1 of the nuts, we don't fold to a bet, and if those nuts are the HI end of the pot, we re evaluate on turn and river, but we don't fold WHILE we still have the nuts, although we don't build the pot either. We can discuss about multi way pots another day if you want. In this thread, OP played a hand against a single villain, he flopped the nuts, and some people says folding is correct. I say no, it is never an option in a HU situation. Of course you fold ONCE you dont have the nuts ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO8 against a LAG Those examples are not accurate IMO. First of all in this thread we are talking about a MADE HAND, a combination of 5 cards, in this case a straight that can not be topped by a higher straight. It is not a top set, or top 2 pair, etc. I perfectly understand why top set or top 2 pair can have very little value in further streets in a PLO8 flop, but those examples are not even close to what we are discussing here. The example when we flop 678 while holding KK9T does no good for the cause of folding the nuts, because we have no reason to believe that a T high straight won't be good on the ... Re:PLO8 against a LAG Never heard of it tbh, but if I had to guess, a HU situation doesn't look like the most likely scenario, but what do I know. I would really like to hear what Scott Clements has to say about folding the nuts, it is something I've never done in my life, and probably a huge leak of mine. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO8 against a LAG FWIW, at any point I tried to analyze the hand and what my play would be, I just happened to read the words "nuts" and "fold" in the same sentence and went ballistic to the point of considering man slaughter, that's all. To this moment I don't even know or paid attention to stack sizes, position, or anything like it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO8 against a LAG This is why certain hands should be played carefully even if we flop the nuts, but you can not fold while you still have the nuts, this is as simple as it gets. If board pairs on the turn or a spade comes, we have an easy fold, but folding the flop is bad, horrible, terrible. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO8 against a LAG I reread my posts and I can't see any insults, not a single one. Again, the numbers say we are favorite...and here we don't care about results, we care about the right plays. If OP lost the hand, oh well, it happens every second of the day. Happy holidays Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO8 against a LAG Thanks for the math. Now we can FOLD WHILE FAVORITE because we can lose the hand. FWIW, as played we are 62% favorite, 58% if villain has a set. We are a dog 40/60% dog if villain has a set+ flush draw. Now, please, STOP advocating to fold the nuts on the flop because we can still lose the hand. In some scenarios a case can be made for playing the nuts carefully, specially in PLO8, but NEVER to fold the nuts on the flop, not in a gazillion years, not in this life time. You should really try to get a better grasp of the game before posting advice, it really confuses people. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO8 against a LAG ROFL. Of course there is no locks, there are no hands 100% favorite on the flop unless you flop a royal, or quads with no chances of str8 flushes/royals, but that doesn't happen in NLH either, yet we still get in there if we FLOP THE NUTS. It's OK, we all are trying to learn the game, and we all make mistakes. Just try to don't give advice when your game has such huge leaks, it confuses the OP, and may lead him to think that your opinion is valid and/or you have a point. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO8 against a LAG Yes, pre flop this hand is garbage, a clear fold, yada yada daaaaaa, but the person you quoted and "agreed" with is talking about folding POST FLOP WITH THE NUTS. I'm just saying... Oh wait, folding the nuts postflop is OK because this is not NLH....dsamdbsajfbfaelwfblerfgsaefIm gonna go open Xmas presents and pretend I never read this thread. Re:PLO8 against a LAG I will ignore the preflop action. But saying that you can FOLD THE NUTS has to be the biggest level I've ever seen posted in this forum, and I've seen a lot. Good God, I'm on life tilt right now. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:flopped bottom set I'm not gonna get into the discussion about calling pre cause it can take 100 pages, but...if you do call pre, missing a single bet is beyond bad, it's like the worst thing to ever happen in your life, like having your house burned down, like watching a children die, like having a 1' penis when hard, like being worse at poker than VARICO and Vietcong together, etc, etc, etc. You are firing blunts with 100$ bills if you speculate like this and don't get max. value the very few times you do hit. Merry xmas tho. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Moorman1 Sunday Mill CL w/ 25 left I guess you expected Chris to play a more "standard" poker, but that's just not the kind of player he is. He does crazy shit in a 3r and the WCOOP ME, it's just the way he plays, and it works for him. When I'm at his table and he doesn't raise a hand in an entire orbit I assume he got disconnected. I don't see why he'd change his plan because he was at the Mill FT. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Moorman1 Sunday Mill CL w/ 25 left The difference between "johndoe77" and a top player is that "johndoe77" has no fucking clue of what he's doing, while the world class player has a plan that has been proven to work countless times. If you can't understand the difference, then you are "johndoe77". Posted in: Poker Discussion |
