Re:Interesting spot in 500r with flopped flush I would have raised more on the turn. He raised you on the flop and bet the turn so he has some sort of hand and you don't want a Ac or set to see a cheap river. I think 3.5-5K range is a better raise and shove any river Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:do you put in on the river with toptop here? why did you just smooth call he flop, then ck/call the turn' Obviously you think you are ahead by calling so you should have raised either street. As played, you are kind of committed...what range of hands do you put him on that you ck/call all the way then fold on river' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Absolute Poker knew of the breach in July my friends - proof, and a sad post i have to make so, just because AP didn't follow up with the IP address of the guy who hacked you, it is 100% proof that it was an AP employee' you didn't even call them back to find out why they didn't give you the IP' any idiot can see after reading your post that it was probably your friend or a hacker and not AP Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Absolute will hire 3rd party investigator....(Str8 from Seif's blog) If I were in APs position, I would simply have my programmers go through and temporarily remove any traces of superusers from user accounts and server code until the audit is completed. Assuming the code was even half decently written this should be extremely easy. That way when the auditors come around and check out user 363, he will be just like any other user. Re(2): Different Question re AP Situation The chip dumping happened a little bit after the news hit the 2+2 forum and everyone found out, which is why it was so suspicious. In fact, while he was purposely losing money, 2+2ers were berating him from the rail. It seemed like an attempt to reduce his winrate so his long term statistics look less suspicious to absolute poker administration. Normally you could say he was just playing his normal game and losing money but now instead of his normal infinite river aggression he was calling bets on the river with garbage. One of the best examples was when he called the river with 4 high, i ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Obv online business opportunity? heres how its done: you leave the US without any intent to set foot on US soil unless maybe some day the whole gambling thing blows over, this is not so hard for those of us with dual citizenships and families and friends in other countries, you then make your hundreds of millions off your neteller spin off, charging load fees etc, as you are practically a monopoly now. For many, not returning to the US is totally worth it. They can't do anything to you if you are in another country, as i dont think any european countries would have granted extradition for prosecution of the neteller ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

My thoughts and why I'm not worried (long) So, we all woke up this morning to the alarming news that Partypoker will be suspending US accounts. Now, while this is a legitimate reason to worry, and there will obviously be negative effects for us as a result of the new legislation, I believe we should be optimistic, and for the most part completely disregard the fact that this legislation was passed. If we take a look at American history, gambling has always been a pretty hot issue, and is deeply rooted into American culture. If we look closer, we will find that people who wanted to gamble did, despite the law, and you will see within ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): The ultimate key to cash games... actually the first hand isnt a shove situation...just because you have the 2nd best starting hand doesnt always mean you are best pre flop, thats where our edge is in poker, making the right reads and laydowns, and extracting max value out of our hands. KK should call because of implied odds of flopping a set but should not shove and should fold if he misses his set if he puts his opponent on AA, but folding is a better move than shoving into a hand that dominates you. In my opinion this guy obviously had AA here and folding is better than getting stacked with a 4 to 1 disadvantage. the 2nd ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Taking every coinflip you can get i actually feel that sngs and mtts are two different beasts, and the equity of a double stack in a sng is MUCH more significant than the equity of a double stack in a mtt. Think about it this way. In an ICM calculation you are calculating the EV of a DOUBLE stack in a tournament where 33% of the players are in the money and one of them is now gone and you have his chips. In a MTT only 10% of players are in the money and your double stack is practically worthless down the line. Your post proves the edge in taking any coin flip or slight edge in a single table sng, and thats all it does. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
