In many ways Variance in poker is the enemy of the skilled poker player. One bad beat due to variance and you start wondering what went wrong. But I believe that understanding it can really help and stop you feeling like you suffered a ‘bad-beat’ while subsequently going on tilt .

The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 short for UIGEA, makes it illegal for online gambling sites to accept funds or wagers from the United States if the underlying gambling activity violates existing federal, state or tribal law. When it comes to deception with players, slow playing can work. Many a times players can easily be fooled into thinking they have the best hand. Also don't bluff too frequently as it might become easy for others to guess. Remember not to become greedy and play in games that you cannot afford or games where the competition is simply too stiff.
