PokerTracker problem Yeah, I could email PT themselves but y'all are pretty smart, too. I keep getting these error messages while running PT: "Import Finished With Errors - The import finished but there were errors. Open the Utilities/Error Log Display/Maintenance window to see the errors - 4 file(s) read - 40 new hand(s) were imported." After opening that window, it says things like "no flop found for Hand #xxxxx" or "no turn found", etc. Anyone know what's going on and if there's a quick and easy fix' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

advice for re-entry I recently got back into online poker after a pretty long absence due to the birth of my daughter. (I know that most of us on this site aren't parents...wee, I'm an old 29-year-old) I find myself getting destroyed on Stars. It sure seems to me like everyone's playing loose as hell...looser than when I left regular play about a year ago. So I'm playing tight, robot poker. And I am just getting fucked. Check out my Sharkscope...it's a fricking ski slope. Any advice' Anyone else go through the same thing' Is the problem my play' (Probably.) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Taking the long walk down to the end of the plank... Just remembered that I've got 2800-ish FPPs to work probably satellite my way to some 215-$T chunks with those. Any recommendations on tourney format/day and time for best success' I assume it'd be Sundays, right before the big one, but if I'm wrong please advise. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Taking the long walk down to the end of the plank... ...and playing one final 45 man with my last $12. Seriously, I don't know how to properly express how bad of a run I've been on, but $1200 has evaporated in a few weeks due to cashouts, transferring friends money 20 and 30 bucks at a time, and one hellacious run of suckouts. Seriously, I sharkscope the people I see at the 45-man tables, I watch them play, and can't figure out how this happened. I guess I could post the HH from the bustout or crippling hands from the past 40-50 tourneys. I don't know. I'm just venting at this point. I wasn't ahead EVERY time, but most of the time I was. ... Re(4): running so bad... The 45-mans have been so good to me for so long...and I know that I'm not getting outplayed, I'm getting out-lucked, so that's not a super-bad thing. It's morning now. I feel slightly better. Thanks, all. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

running so bad... sharkscope me if you'd like.... this shit is getting ridiculous. I feel like I can't win. It's been either a) getting money in good or b) being unable to push people out of pots because they call everything. Just say something. Anything. Help me get through this streak. Re(1): Stars Rebuy strategy - 1 Rebuy, 1 Add-on You should have at least 10-12k in chips by the break. Unless you get stuck with eight rocks, this shouldn't be a problem. Don't play in the rebuys unless you're prepared to spend 50-60 bucks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): Turbo Spot, Would You Push or Fold? Judging by chip count, this is a 18-person SNG. Four places pay. Our hero is not sitting pretty in chip count, and currently has an M of just over 4. Once the antes kick in within the next five hands, Hero is M near 3. He needs to chip up to get ITM, and I HIGHLY doubt two people call him for essentially all their chips after limping in. So, you look at the possible hands they limp in with. And GIVEN THE READS stated by the OP, you'd at least be a coinflip, probably better than 60/40, and possibly at 70/30. GIVEN THE READS...there's a very good chance he's ahead if called. So yes, GIVEN ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Turbo Spot, Would You Push or Fold? If they're really limp-calling with trash...then you know that a) AT, AJ, AQ, or AK aren't out there, b) they'll call with any shittier Ace, c) they might call with some bullshit King or SC, or d) they have a low PP, with which they'll call. You're a favorite almost all of the time they call, and I doubt that both with call, even at the $6 level. One probably, but not two. Looking at the stacks of the top 3, you need to make a move at some point to get up there. This is a borderline decision for me, but given the reads you've provided I'd push as well. Re(1): 45 man Turbo on stars I do okay in these. Try to play on the weekends. The level of play goes from "ho-hum" to "fricking retarded". Then play tight for the first half-hour (until blinds go 100/200). NO FRICKING MOVES OR BLUFFS. Value bet all your strong hands, and they'll get paid off. I cannot stress enough how bad the play is on weekends. I've seen it down to two tables in 29 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
