Re:Update On Jshark4's New profession at Mcdonald's- PICS ON PAGE 6!!! The only messed up thing I see out of this whole situation is quitting after 30 hours...after your trainee had put a lot of time and effort to teach you everything and then you just flat out leave on them as it was all a joke.. Other than that, I do agree with you that ANYBODY could get a job at mcdonalds if they really wanted to. You didnt take a job from anybody...so dont feel bad about that. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Early Stage MTT - Pro Question I am really trying to elevate my game to a high level, and feel that I am beginning to really understand how to play the game all around. The one area I feel like I am weak right now is my early stage MTT play. I hear from many players that they only play QQ+ AK in early stages, than play more aggressively as the blinds increase, but I have also heard players that play real aggressively to start and do raise with suited connectors and small pairs from any position 3x the blinds and call 3x blind raises....what is the better method' I really would appreciate answers from MTT pros and how they ... Rush Poker Rakeback Strategy? I was wondering if anybody grinds rush poker purely to make rakeback monies. I just played 2 tables $.5/1 rush poker for 30 minutes and i saw that I made 300 ftp points. Does this mean there were $300 rake made between my 2 rush poker sessions, and if i have 27% rake, that should be around 81 dollars rake I earned in 30 minutes. I won a little bit, but I was wondering if people purely grind rush poker to get largely benefited from rakeback' If my calculations are correct... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Simple rake back question.. If you have like 8k in ftp points and you want to use it to enter a tournament or a tournament qualifier, does this hurt your rakeback' I heard somewhere that you cant use your FTP points while you are earning rakeback' Is this true' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Life, Poker, and My Future Go to school, get smart, and have a social life. DON'T be an online poker pro who sits on his ass all day, never goes out and has no social life, has to have crazy mood swings due to variance, and gets fat. Research shows that poker professionals are more prone to early death (lol jk, but i wouldnt be suprised). Go out and do something better not only for yourself, but for other people as well. You wont impress anybody by being an online poker player for the rest of your life. That being said, you can play on the side as you have been doing and win since your good. Re:Life, Poker, and My Future Yeah, you often do better in school when you are motivated, but even if your not, it is BETTER to force yourself to go to school and learn. It is better for you in the long-run. You think high school was motivation' No, you were forced to do it but you learned a lot from high-school and your much better off right now compared to if you never went to high-school. I cant imagine what your post would sound like if you didnt even go to high-school! :P But honestly, your 20 and havent gone to college, and no offense, but what would you know about making a decision like this' Your right about ... Re:Life, Poker, and My Future The question is, do you want to have a guaranteed future by going to school, doing good, and having a career which brings you a lot of long-term money - or would you rather be a gambler by rather sitting on your butt everyday, get fat, have mood swings, and hope that you win' Whether we like it or not, being a poker professional is a huge gamble the same way that card counting is still a gamble. We always hear about the people who drop out of college to play poker, and now they drive nice cars, live in mansions with their friends, and live a dream life by just playing a game. We never hear ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Doubles week nailed me in the arse I invested a lot of money in this week (we can say improper BR management) and it was all for nothing. Had a few deep runs, but nothing special, ended up losing the small wins in other tournaments and just bad beat over bad beat over bad beat and then I do admit a couple tournaments had me tilted and i played bad in them as well. Overall, good learning experience, I got nailed in the arse, and I am super jealous of all the big winners. Im guessing there are only a few of us losers, post and let me know if ur in the same boat so I can feel better! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Very early spot in double deuce These spots are tricky..i have often times pushed very early in tournaments all in with AA/KK and I almost always get called because opponents have no read and they instantly think their AK/QQ/JJ or any pair is ahead (or tied at least) of an AK/AQ push..easy double up Posted in: Poker Discussion |
