i was so amazed that WCW gave that match away on nitro instead of a ppv. they essentially blew their load to win the ratings that night and could no longer continue goldberg vs hogan. also if you havent seen the dvd "Monday Night Wars" it is a must see for anyone who enjoyed wrestling during that 96-99 range....its kind of slanted towards WWE because they produced it after they had already bought out WCW but there is some awesome stuff on it another reason i remember that match is because i couldnt believe a) of all the nWo only henning came out to try and fuck up the match and b) the ref ...

w/ the exception of joey harrington most everyone loved the pick at the time when DET was loading up on offense sometimes picks just dont work out, although detroit seems to be pretty good at picking lemons (minus roy williams) btw, mike furrey is a perfect example of why you dont take WR's in the 1st round. ditto for Marques Colston

MIN @ GB tonight . . .
line is at GB -3.5.... buy the hook for -120 just in case.... favre's last home game (i really believe this and even if its not true the fans will probably react like it is)....rookie QB for the vikes, and the packers still have a shot at the playoffs. 4 of the last 5 have been by a FG or less. also, GB won at the homer-dome earlier this season wont be touching the over-under, i think its perfect. btw, game is on NFL network though which sucks ass. GB 21-17 sorry if there are other thread on the game i didnt rly look too hard and i'm at work!!

no prob, this is some pretty cool shit though. apparently crocs and lions team up at this "crossing" and just feast daily, except for a 2 wk stretch where it just rains and there is an unspoken truce and now the vultures are in on the dead meat!!

cortz, fwiw, you were off on a couple pts first, the spurs didnt even finish with the worst record, they finished with the 3rd worst record but won the 1st overall pick in the lottery. i only remember this because i think the two worse teams ended up with shitty players (philly got Van Horn, grizzlies got antonio daniels, and somehow boston ended up with chauncey billups) second, they didnt win it in duncan's rookie yr, they won it the following yr in the shortended 50 game season. duncan's rook yr was mj's last yr, and they beat utah. and btw, everyone knew San Antonio would be a force ...

cliff notes: brandi gave her bankroll to capt tom in order to practice bankroll management properly. apparently, somewhere along the line they shared a hotel room, capt tom climbed in bed with her nude and put his dick on her back (and now we have to hear that joke over and over and over in every thread) for whatever reason. later on, she claims he stopped talking to her and wont give her the money back. she is clearly unstable/lying/just a nutcase. anyways, most of the pros are saying capt tom is legit and brandi says she is broke, cant pay rent now even though her bmw just got reposessed. ...

the bottom line is that we have shows like Around the Horn and Cold Pizza and Sportscenter is terrible about not letting anything die. these shows were not around 10 yrs ago ANY type of fight now get huge coverage. the media is different in today's world. white guys routinely had fights like this all the time in the 80s
