People Sitting Out, SnG tables
I'd rather have them sit out than time down every hand. Count yourself lucky if you find some considerate ones.

Do you have to see what happens at your tables?
+1000 and you are screwing up the flow for everyone else. If you want to play video games instead of poker, go the the arcade

30" monitor or 26" TV?
I've had both setups just because I used what was at hand for a while. Bottom line (IMO) is if your primary use is watching TV, get the TV; if you primary use is as a computer monitor, get the monitor. Even with the monitor, you can watch TV.

Paying more attention to one table?
That is probably the most succinct statement I have ever read as to what is wrong with Internet poker. Too many people just clicking away and having no idea what the hell is going on.

An impressive feat of multi-tabling
Totally agree. It didn't take long for the multi-tablers to ruin Rush like they have everything else.

What kinda mouse are you grinders using?
I use a Logic Tech that fits deeply in my palm and like is so much I bought one just like it for work. Regardless of the mouse you decide upon, I highly suggest using hot key scripts for the most common actions (check, fold, all in) so you can switch methods during long sessions. The most common cause of discomfort is repetitive motion.

Bye Bye MTTs :(
I don't know the game structure on Party so this may not apply. I have switched mostly to cash because of time constraints, but get an occasional fix by playing the 90 man deep stack turbos on Full Tilt. These have a lot of the same buzz factor of MTTs, but only take a couple of hours. At the low to mid levels, they fill rather quickly so it is not difficult to get three or four of them going. You might see if Party has something similar. Good Luck

Questions about Poker HUD,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
One problem with a HUD is it presents a picture of the players overall style of play and (unless you have one hell of a database) doesn't portray shifts in style based upon important variables like, tournament stage, stack sizes, position, etc. I tried one and actually found it to be misleading because of this lack of differentiation. Table observations more accurately reflect the opponents tendencies at the moment you have to make a decision. Of course, that assumes you don't play so many tables that you can't actually pay attention to such things.

The end of Sit and Gos on Full Tilt
A lot of us have quit playing SNG's because of all the slow multi-tablers turning them into a nit fest

Drama: Andrew Robl flames Daniel Negreanu (doubt he cares)
I'm not a particular fan of any of the players mentioned. But, on the point of straddling, I agree with Andrew. I've played more years than most of the players on the show have been alive and straddling has always been an "option" that is used by the straddler in particular situations to gain a perceived or real advantage. It is not something you throw in to give someone else an advantage. If they want more money on the table, they should raise the blinds.

Best Tablet PC for playing online poker?
I've been researching the same topic and haven't found anything yet. It seems most of the non-Apple tablets are Android OS. HP has announced a Windows 7 tablet, but I have not seen it on their site yet. That is probably the best hope for a tablet that can do poker and run office apps.

how to defend against a BTN min-raise pre from BB?
Great advice. A major weakness in my game is I start to take this personally instead of analyzing the situation and playing solid poker.

How many months worth of expenses?
A differing point of view is that it depends upon how long it would take you to find a job in your chosen non-poker career in this economy. Many of my friends have been looking for over a year and they have advanced degrees. I would suggest you need not only enough to cover expenses for a period of playing, but enough to insure you have time to find a real job should you need to. If you are not sure you can make it playing poker, I think it would be a good idea to work at something while you play just to keep your references and work experience relevant.

grinding sngs for a living
Given the macho massive mulit-tablers that are filling the tables lately, I think it would be tough at these levels. The tables are full of people tanking every hand. It now takes almost twice as long to play a single table as it used to and they all turn into push/shove fests because you get in so few hands per blind level.

How many regs is too many? in sngs
The number of regs doesn't really affect the game that much unless you are saddled with several playing more tables than they can keep up with. In that case, it drastically reduces the hands per blind level and turns the table into push/shove with seven or more players still in.

Sit n Go strategy articles.
Whatever you find, don't pay much attention to anything over a year old. The slow assed multi-tablers have totally changed (and ruined) SNG's

Why see mucked cards?
You are correct. The sites basically emulate what you have a right to do in live play. The only difference is in live play, very few people ask to see the mucked hand as it is considered rude.

Pros with College Degrees
The debate has turned from your question to the relative value of a degree. To address you question directly, if you applied for a job in my department, your resume would not even make it out of HR with a ten-year gap in related experience. FIW, if you want to play poker full time, I highly recommend you engage in continued education or start a side business so the blank doesn't look so, well... blank

FTP Rush problem
Yeah, just let it time out. That way you can screw up he players who actually pay attention and want to play "rush" as it is meant to be played. Another multi-tabler complaining because the sites don't support your rude and inconsiderate habits.

Migranes from grinding??
Obviously, you have never had migraines. Aspirin is useless It could be you need to have your eyesight checked, but the headaches could also be caused by stress-like conditions. I've found it helps to change my sitting position and get up from the chair for a quick stretch when not in hands. It is important to alter your sitting position often if you tend to get tension related migraines. Just some suggestions, but they have helped me. Good luck.

***Pokerstars Petition*** Very Much Needed!!
Make your tables bigger. I think more will fit on the screen if you play fewer. Your Welcome I love people who play so many tables they can't see them and then expect the site to compensate.

Is bet timing important?
Not any more. There are so many multi-tablers who tank on every hand that timing means nothing.

First time playing in a casino: things to be aware of?
Yeah, just keep thinking this and you will do just fine :) BTW, if you adopt that attitude, please let me know where you will be playing next. Seriously, the game moves more slowly and you can gain a lot by observing when you are not in a hand. Don't waste this opportunity. Pay more attention to betting patterns, etc. than physical tells. Anyone who has played live will send false tells.

Sunglasses or not
Been playing live on and off for forty years and have never worn sunglasses at the table. For one thing, if I stare or look at someone in a particular way, it is for effect and I want them to be aware of it.

Quit my job????
Dreams are nice, but you need to seriously consider everything your job provides. Having six months expenses in the bank is only a starting point. What if you get hospitalized' Are you willing to give up your habit if things get tight' Do what you wish, but go into it logically, not emotionally. Self-employment of any kind is risky and the additional FICA and tax hits also need to be covered.
