I assume this is coming from someone who has never been to Detroit...I can see how easy it is to pass judgment if you're incapable of thinking for yourself, but I wouldn't really know because I don't walk around with a stick up my ass.

Tipping Policy @ All Inclusive Resort???
Going in less than a week to Gran Porto Real - Playa del Carmen all inclusive with the GF for her bestfriend's destination wedding. Anyone been here and/or have any tips or words of advice for us' I am curious what the tipping protocall is at an all inclusive... Do I tip for every drink like if I was paying cash at a bar, or do I not tip until the end of the trip' What about for dinner' Thanks for the input!

Detroit is pretty shitty. I have had a gun pulled on me 4 times in my life...all in Detroit (1 of which included a pistol whipping). I would have never made it in a Detroit public school b/c I am white (went to catholic school), and no that is not racist, it just is what it is. The downtown area isn't even bad compared to the outskirts of the city where literally every other house is "spot" (weed/crack house). When I was younger and before we moved, I remember it was not uncommon at all to hear gunshots go off from where we lived. In fact a dude was murdered in the Pizza Hut ...

Caribbean Cruise, we live in MI so it is nice to get away from the cold weather. Also, if anyone has any ideas/suggestions on how to smuggle booze on the ship please pm me or see my post from yesterday

I am not sure how much the duty is, but I live 5 mins from Canada and each person can carry back 2 liters without any duty, so I assume that rule holds true for cruises'

Relax man, I was the exact same way with as a toungster. I just had to work harder at it and miss a few recesses for tutoring sessions. Everyone is wired differently I guess. I turned out alright....However, I did stay far away from going into a profession that requires me to do any significant writing (I'm CPA with a Masters in Taxation). And F her for criticizing your parenting skills especially if it is in front of your boy....that shits not cool. If it were my kid, I'd just tell him to work hard at it and everything will be alright. gl

Sorry I didnt get back to you earlier.....I don't know if this will be of any help as today is Sat....But the 15/30 limit holdem/limit omaha high game in my opinion in the best action game you can find in the state. It tends to get very loose, but not really aggressively-loose game (ie someone will raise and then a bunch of people just call). There is not much 3 betting because most of the players are just not that sophisticated (this is esp true during the omaha rounds). I am sure once you get the feel of the game you will understand more what I mean. The variance can be pretty sick ...

I liked what Barry Sanders used to do after every touchdown he scored...Hand the ball to the the ref then jog to the sidelines. I admitt it is entertaining to watch but I don't really think it sends a good message to kids...i.e. poor sportsmanship and just very classless...But then again, I have no kids so I could really give 2 shits what they do after they make a play or score a td.
