Backing Controversy with JYMASTER11 (warning very long)
Read it all, not sure why, probably because I have more respect for Chris than almost anyone in the poker world. My thoughts are that Jymaster is in a bad spot and is handling this not perfectly. His financial situation has made him kind of desperate, and despite being a good guy, he is probably making a decision that he will regret in the future when he is more financially stable. That being said I think you two, both being good and reasonable people, need to make a creative compromise. Perhaps something along the lines of Jymaster gets to play for 2 months for Chris starting at 0 ...

River spot with aces vs Stammdog with aces in stars 1k
note to self: check raise more flops 40 bets deep people give you absurd respect in mtts these days apparently! I cant imagine any range where you feel uncomfortably getting it in on the flop against a good reg. I feel like everyone playing online tourneys these days are comfortable slamming 25bbs with 88 utg but completely shut down postflop with anything over 30bbs. Maybe its correct idk and regs are raising flops that tight, I dont play many tournaments, but in my experience with stamm he plays quite well and tricky.

Petition to stop FTP from ruining Double guarantee's week
fields are sooo big, talented, and aggressive in these high buyin ME's its sick. Variance in online MTTs has just 10x'ed if these were every week I think 100k downswings would become the standard. Fun but ive been getting crushed so far down 10k and counting (not including todays mtts yet) not even full scheduling monday and tuesday

1k BKR, need to make 3k per month
If I had to do this for a prop bet or something I would probably start with 9 tabling 50nl 6max, if my bankroll hit 2500 id move up to 100nl, and if it went down to 600 id move to 25nl, but im assuming your relatively new to poker so odds are your winrate isnt near high enough to have a low enough risk of ruin to justify such aggressive BR management. If I were you I supposed id just grind my face off all month at 25NL until I was murdering the games over a large sample. Also Id make sure I had an account with rakeback.

Yeah I misread your post I thought you were arguing that 3b preflop is significantly better than flatting because you'll get owned too often postflop which I felt was wrong. As far as your argument that he is 4betting light a lot, I dont agree that his range is weighted to air, or even shows up with air with any regular frequency. I think in this spot where he raises utg and a tight regular who probably has something like a 4% 3b full ring 3bs him utg+1 he is completely shutting down with most of his air, and maybe a very very very small fraction of the time is 4betting like an ace blocker ...

I agree with you that gboro is aggressive and his utg opening range on this stack is wider than usual, but why are you so worried about getting owned postflop by him if you flat the raise. His opening range is prob something like {22+,A8s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,ATo+,KJo+,QJo, and any sc's 56s+} Thats a range that does pretty poorly out of position vs QQ. He is not some maniac that is going to 3 barrel for his whole stack every time and put you in bad spots. Also by flatting you allow someone to spazz behind you with a much shorter stack that will stick it in with a super wide range. His ...

Im a good amount more absurd than your average person id say, I think he will tool out vs me more if I raise the flop, crazy dynamic on the ft bubble too. Normally I 4b preflop but felt like id get him to make more mistakes post flop. Whatevs, I dont like to post strategy at all, congrats to kleath hes a real sicko.
